A Year of Polybags 76/260: 30300 The Batman Tumbler Review

Review: 7868 Mace Windu’s Jedi Starfighter

7868 set overview
Since 2002, we’ve gotten a slew of Jedi Starfighters in all shapes and sizes. We’ve gotten seven unique starfighters in System scale alone! Somehow I’ve managed to skip all of them except the very first: 7143 Obi Wan’s Jedi Starfighter. It is still one of my favorite sets and one of my favorite Star Wars vehicles. The ship has recently been appearing frequently in the Clone Wars Animated series, and naturally LEGO has been producing sets based on the animated variants. Right now there are three LEGO Jedi Starfighters available- 7868 Mace Windu’s Jedi Starfighter, 8093 Plo Koon’s Jedi Starfighter, and the largely-hated 10215 Obi-Wan’s Jedi Starfighter. 7868 is a Walmart/ LEGO Store exclusive and is priced at $39.99 for 309 pieces. Not great if you still go by the $.10/part golden ratio, but that was before the dark times… before inflation! Plus, you get four vehicles and five minfigs, so there’s a lot of playability here.

A Year of Polybags 154/260: 30042 Mini Sub Review

At first glance, today's set, 30042 Mini Sub, seemed like it would be a winner. You build a pretty robust mini sub but it's...
