From the I-didn’t-see-this-coming news desk, if you’re a Google Chrome fan, you may want to check out Build. Build is an experimental product born out of a collaboration between Google Australia and LEGO Australia allowing you build with LEGO virtually right from your browser. You start with a map of the Australia, are given a plot, and build right on top of it. Build was built for Chrome but it seems to be working fine on my copy of Firefox. The selection of parts is pretty limited sticking to tried and true blocks, plates, and slopes. There’s also a door and window element to complete that house that everyone is going to build. After you’re done constructing your architectural masterpiece, you can publish it allowing you share with friends and eventually have it show up on the overhead map so that the general public can gaze at it in awe, pending moderator approval of course.
