I may not post a lot, but when I do it’s because I’m trying to get to old habits. And also, it’s May the Fourth and LEGO has a couple of sweet offerings on the table. And also, if I’m being completely honest, the new X-wing is sucking me back in.

75355 X-Wing Starfighter

This is LEGO’s third iteration of a UCS X-Wing. Is it the best? Maybe. Retailing for $239.99, it’s available for VIP’s starting May 1st, and then May 4th for everyone else. You can order 75355 X-Wing Starfighter directly from LEGO.com.

75352 Emperor’s Throne Room Diorama

LEGO is also releasing two new diorama sets. This one, 75352 Emperor’s Throne Room Diorama, recreates the scene from Return of the Jedi where Luke channels his anger and attempts to strike down Emperor Palpatine only to be blocked by Darth Vader. I think a space battle scene behind the window would have been a nice touch. This is available starting May 1st for everyone and retails for $99.99.

75353 Endor Speeder Chase Diorama

The second new diorama is also ROTJ-themed and is 75353 Endor Speeder Chase Diorama. The speeder bike scene was one of the highlights of the movie. This set will cost you $79.99.

LEGO May The Fourth Promos

In addition to the new product, a May the Fourth sales event wouldn’t be complete without some freebies:

  • 40591 Death Star II free with LEGO Star Wars purchases over $150;
  • 30654 X-Wing Starfighter free with LEGO® Star WarsTM purchases over $40. This is currently available at Target for $4.99 but you’ll get it for free with a small purchase.
  • VIP members receive a LEGO Star Wars Return of the Jedi 40th collectible coin on LEGO Star Wars purchases over $85.

Get the X-wing and you’ll get all the promos. There’s also double VIP points on select sets. I haven’t bought a LEGO set in a long, long time. But here I am getting ready for the sale once the clock strikes 9pm PDT. Am I excited? I can’t really tell.
