Betrayal at Cloud City to be exact. That is to say, the exact name of LEGO Cloud City is “75222 Betrayal at Cloud City”. I’ve known about this for awhile but I can’t quite say if I’m disappointed or not in the final product because I honestly don’t know what I was expecting. Cloud City is a difficult environment to capture. It’s a floating top basically:

So how do you translate that into a LEGO set? Like this apparently:

75222 Betrayal at Cloud City

LEGO Cloud City kind of looks like they used the same approach as the Death Star sets, an open dollhouse-style playset. In fact, it looks like they took the top layer and just changed the insides. But that’s just my initial impression. I’m sure there is a lot more going on.

It looks like it recreates most if not all of the key scenes from that location. It’s got a carbon freezing chamber, a landing pad, a hallway, dining room, and that weird platform where Vader’s most famous line is said.

The things that caught my eye the most, though, are the Slave I and Cloud Car vehicles:

The Slave I is just awesome and should be released as a standalone set. Although I do think the Cloud care should be more burnt orange than red. /shrug

75222 Betrayal at Cloud City will be available on October 1st 2018 with VIP Early Acces starting a few weeks earlier on September 13th.
