LEGO announces BrickHeadz, a new collectible play experience that allows “builders to create, collect and display versions of iconic characters and superheroes out of classic LEGO bricks and elements.” They look like a cross between CubeDudes and Funko Pop! figures. Coinciding with the launch, LEGO will be offering limited edition, one-run only sets to be sold at this year’s San Diego Comic Con. There will be a total of four sets, two each for DC and Marvel, with each set containing two iconic characters. For DC there will be a Superman and Wonder Woman, and a Batman and Joker set. Representing Marvel will be two-packs of Dr. Strange and Black Panther, and Captain America and Iron Man.
I am trying to confirm this but I am pretty sure the only exclusivity aspect of these sets is the packaging and maybe that they are two-packs. I can’t imagine that this would be the only way to get your hands on a Batman. Once I confirm, I will update this post, so keep checking back.

While purchase and fulfillment of exclusive LEGO BrickHeadz sets will take place in LEGO booth #2829, attendees must first visit the Pavilion Terrace to participate in a random drawing to qualify to buy, beginning as early as 7 am daily. Each of the four exclusive retail sets will be sold on separate days of the show, with a limit of one set per attendee per day. Tickets to purchase must be redeemed on the same day or purchase is forfeited.
