Star Wars Celebration Europe is happening right now, and the promise of a new Rogue One trailer has come to light. The above video was shown at a panel and posted on YouTube for the rest of us that couldn’t make it. It’s not really a trailer per se, more like a glimpse of what happens behind the scenes, behind the camera. Anonymous Tipster linked me to this io9 article and they lifted the following quote from director Gareth Edwards from the video:
If you’re too respectful of it, if you dare not do anything new, then what are you bringing to the table?
Hopefully, that means Rogue One is as dark and gritty as the trailers make them out to be despite the kerfuffle over nothing about the reshoots. Kind of exciting to hear that.
