Barnes&Noble 40% off Coupon

Postby Staff » Fri Jul 09, 2010 6:06 am

Logo 120x90

Update: The coupon only applies to LEGO that has the "Toys and Games" logo next to the image.

Barnes&Noble.com has a 40% off coupon for "select LEGO items" their Toys & Games department, coupon code "L9C4L9K". I tested it out on Echo Base and it worked, so I'm not sure what's excluded. You may end up paying tax but you get free shipping on orders over $25, and if you're a member you get free Express Shipping. Coupon expires July 12. Happy shopping!

Yeah, it didn't work when I tried to get the Fallingwater set. I was able to snag the Battle of Alamut for very cheap, though. :)

Check your numbers folks, you're not getting 40% off. The actual discount is 30%.

I added one Battle of Alamut and the discount rang up to be $23.98. This is 30% of the list price of $79.95, so you don't even get the extra 10% off.

Oh well, it's still a pretty good sale.

Nice coupon. Just paid $41 total for Anakin's Y-wing. I love getting a deal where the price ratio for bricks is less than 10 cents/brick!

just to clarify, for BN members, you do get the 10% off first, then its 30% off of the original price so one of the odd ways of stacking the discount (normally the second discount would be off the reduced price which would result in 37% off)

the battle of alamut came out to $47.97 for me. So that does work out to be be 40% off for members.

Not sure if I'm a B&N member or not, but $47.97 was the price for me (before tax).

Looks like this is back again. Use A7B9W7U for 40% off certain LEGO sets. Works only on LEGO labeled under "Toys and Games"

Online Coupon A7B9W7U Details:

For each customer, this coupon can be redeemed once at the Barnes & Noble retail store listed on this coupon and once online at BN.COM. This offer entitles customer to 40% off List Price on one (1) Barnes & Noble @ School item and one (1) in the Educational Toys & Games item, while supplies last.

Thanks to Jon for the heads up.

Browsing bn.com, I'm finding many items with the following disclaimer:

Note: This item does not qualify for coupons or promotional discounts unless expressly stated.

It's taking much of the punchbowl away from the party... :(

Update: Well, never mind. The 'note' doesn't seem to affect which it works with. The toys-n-games icon is the one to watch for... it works with most of those.

From what I can tell it works anyway. It's worth a shot.

GIR3691, you're right. I tried it first by selecting the 'Toys and Games' filter on the left bar, then added the City Fire Station to the cart, which didn't get the discount. Doesn't work with architecture sets either. Then I noticed the icon...

The coupon does apply to Anakin's Y-Wing and Prince of Persia sets.

OK, some points:

- Ignore that warning that the coupon might not apply to the item - it's irrelevant.
- Coupon only works on items that have TOYS & GAMES next to them
- Coupon only works if you are logged in. Otherwise it says the coupon has already been redeemed
- You just need to create an account to login. I have a couple myself. One with my B&N card on it so I get an extra 10% off on some Lego sets
- Some Lego sets DO NOT have free shipping even though they are over $25 after discount. It must say "ITEM SHIPS FREE" on it to get the free shipping
