Yes, $150...I'm definately getting this one without a doubt :D . The minifigures are great, although I expected a little more from this set in that department. However, I do like the price. For 1400 pieces, I believe $150 is very fair considering some of the set prices this year. All in all, this set looks amazing. A design similar to the 7665 Republic Cruiser, which happens to be one of my favorite sets of all time, and it's something we've been asking for over the past couple of years. Great job TLG. By the way, thanks for posting the information guys

Yay! Another way to get the primary female in the OT, Leia, for over $100!!

Sorry if my acrid nature is spilling over. My car died last night. We will not discus this, it's NOT a threadjacker.

It looks wonderful, it has nice minifigs and the price is lower than mentioned elsewhere - so I am looking forward very much :)

Looks cool. Of course priced at $150 there is no way I will ever be able to get this. I had kind of thought that bigger sets had BETTER price-per-piece ratios, but this is still more than 10 cents a piece. Sigh. I can't really complain, though. At 1400+ pieces, this was never going to be in my price range, unless it went on a significant sale.

Kind of ironic, though, that the Tantive IV costs 50% MORE than the Star Destroyer playset, given the relative sizes of the original ships. XD

Is it just me, or does the angle of the cutaway showing Leia's desk make it look like she's playing physchiatrist to Antilles?

This is a large Star Wars set I am actually looking forward too. I had the UCS Tantive and never built it, ended up selling.
I will probably buy this one. Though it is a high price, it appears to be worth it.

Isn't it amazing what a difference a decent pic makes... ;)

Talking of pics - I was going to ask who's sloppy cropping changed Artoo's butt. Then I noticed that he looks the same on the box art. Has the torso piece been changed or did the "slop crop" originate from LEGO themselves?

Leia's desk looks like a re-use of the design from the Venator set (which is fine with me - that's one nice piece of Lego furniture). It's nice that the interior goes across the whole width of the ship, leaving more room than in the 7665 Republic Cruiser.

ahhh, now I see how we get a window in the cockpit at the front ... the cone pieces are clear and the rest is made of stickers! eek! I am sooo gonna ask Lego / pay Lego for a couple of spare set of stickers cos if they degrade then the set is screwed!

Looks good though. I guess the UK price will be similar to the Republic Dropship price.

LOL @ the patient!

I think this set looks amazing. I'm not crazy about the price, but I like that LEGO is throwing all sorts of awesome OT sets at us for the 10th anniversary, and this will definitely be on my list of sets to buy. I won't be the first person to get or review this, but would the person who does please post some comparison pics between this and the Republic Cruiser?

My intial question that comes to mind is; is there landing gear for this puppy?

I'm trying to figure out the size so I can make a space for it with my other displays. I'm thinking, "must have."

LEGO makes many nice Red/White Clone Wars ships (joking)

Back on topic, I will add my sentiments that this looks really good. I am looking forward to it, but may not get it for awhile, so I look forward to living vicariously through those who do get it first.

If you'll notice on the cone sections that make up the cockpit, specifically where the mold injection point is, those are in fact printed. So rejoice.

Hmm... on second thought, the image on the box does not match... so that might still be a ticker. But I doubt it. In either case Ace should know by Friday since this should be on display at ComicCon.

Does anyone either remember how long the 7665 Republic Cruiser was reported to be, or does anyone have it built and ready to measure it (mine is in a ziploc bag in a box in the closet)? I'm just curious if it's relatively in scale with this one. Starwars.com says that the tantive was 150 m and the Republic Cruiser was 115 m. Same scale would require 7665 to be 15.7 inches.

One frustrating thing to me is that since I've been paying attention (which hasn't been that long) it is almost impossible to find C-3PO in an affordable set. But this ship might finally make it worth the money to pay a lot for him. He's one of the only mini-figures I don't have (while I have about 20 R2s).
