Vader Pod promotion

Update: Here’s the legalese of the promo:

* Offer is valid December 15-24, 2017 in LEGO® Stores, via shop.LEGO.com or orders over the phone. Offer applies to Star Wars sets in the current assortment. Offer excludes Star Wars key chains, magnets, clocks, watches, books and video games. For online and telephone orders, points are attributed to the account once payment is received. Points will not be credited retrospectively for purchases made prior to, or after this promotion. Points will not be earned on any applicable taxes or shipping charges. Offer cannot be combined with any other VIP offer, discount or coupon. Offer not valid at LEGOLAND® Discovery Centers or LEGOLAND Parks. The LEGO Group reserves the right to amend or cancel this promotion at any time without prior notice. Subject to availability.

A slight update to the cancelled Vader Pod promotion that was supposed to happen mid-December. It’s still cancelled, but the substitute promotion is different for North America. As I said in my previous post, Brickset reported that the promo is cancelled due to quality control issues, and that customers can receive a 10% off discount on LEGO Star Wars sets instead. This is still applicable for the European market.

The North American market will be seeing a different promotion. Customers can instead get 100 bonus VIP points on all LEGO Star Wars sets purchased from Brand Retail locations or LEGO Shop@Home. This does not apply to the extended line such as books, keychains, magnets, and anything else that isn’t a building set. This promotion will run from December 15th-24th.

  1. […] While shoppers in Europe are getting 10% off to make up for the cancellation of the Darth Vader pod, North Americans who make an online or brand store purchase of the main LEGO Star Wars line (excluding keychains, magnets, watches and the like) will get an additional 100 VIP points. The offer runs from December 15th to and Christmas Eve (December 24th), and also coincides with a double VIP offer from today to the 18th. This was first reported by FBTB.net. […]
