Vader Pod promotion

Brickset is reporting that the Vader Pod promotion scheduled to occur on December 15th, 2017 through January 14th, 2018 has been cancelled due to quality control issues. In its place, they are offering a small discount on LEGO Star Wars products and changing the duration of the sale:

“We are committed to continuing support for our Star Wars promotion, and will offer consumers 10% off across all LEGO Star Wars products from 18th – 24th December 2017, excluding 75192 Millennium Falcon.”

I find it hilarious that that they would exclude the Falcon. How about putting it up for sale first, and then talk about excluding it from the discount? I mean, who would even be affected by that discount?

Oh right, the wait list people.

I might have bought something to get the Vader Pod, but 10% is laughable and easy to pass up, even if they had the 2018 sets. Saved me some bucks there.

LEGO instead offered 100 VIP points per LEGO Star Wars product purchased during a short window in North America and 10% off instead for the rest of the world. […]
