This little awkwardly-named (Tatooine Mini-build? Really?) set goes on sale today at Star Wars Celebration. For $40, you get this 178-piece set which includes a mini Sandcrawler, mini Landspeeder, and mini Lars Homestead along with a GIGANTIC moisture vaporator. It also has microscale versions of two jawas, C-3PO, R2-D2, and Owen Lars. Sadly, even at this scale, Beru Lars has been given the shaft. Oh, it also includes a C-3PO minifigure to go all Godzilla on the diorama. If history is any indication, there should be about 1,000 of these made, with 250 on sale each day on a first-come, first-served basis. Hopefully, the staff will be a bit friendlier than they were at Comic Con last year and they don’t pull any line shenanigans. If you plan on getting one, good luck!
I tip my hat to the package designer. The Sandcrawler inspired design is AWESOME and goes great with the theme of the set.
