This thing SUCKS. SO many LOOSE things. Today’s set, 30210 Frodo with Cooking Corner, just sucks.

I will say the one positive thing about this set right now and get it out of the and that I can definitely see the contents of this build being added to Bag End and fitting in perfectly. But this assumes Bag End doesn’t already have a fire-burning stove and a barrel of wine up on a table.

It could actually be a part of the tavern everyone was celebrating at at the beginning of Fellowship of the Ring. But no such set exists.

The cooking area is a simple build. It has a fire and a goblet. Things don’t seem too bad until you get to the frying pan that’s just sitting there loose on top of a tile. That tile could have been a jumper plate and that would have been TONS better.

The wine cask resting on its side is doing just that, resting on its side. It is not anchored to the table in any way.

And of course there’s this bunch of flowers that don’t attach to anything.

And of course it has Frodo. It couldn’t have been Samwise, or Pippin, or Merry for that matter. It had to be Frodo. And Frodo is not unique either so really there’s nothing positive about this set for me to latch on to other than he is holding a sausage and a wine glass because there is a serious lack of options on placing those items anywhere else.

Does It Suck or Does It Rock?

This set sucks! Do what anyone in their right mind would do with a set like this: extract the minifig and toss the rest of the pieces into the parts bin.

Sponsorship

There’s no sponsor this week, and with sponsorships lasting a whole week, you can get plenty of exposure for mere pennies. Pennies I say! Want to sponsor a review? Send me a message to admin@fbtb.net or hit me up on discord of the polybag set you have that you want me to review. If selected, in exchange for the set you’ll get a mention right here in the review post and a link to your website or social media account or just about anything else. Nearly free advertising, so what’s stopping you?
