I like the "before the police ask me to take it down" line. XD. Still not sold on this one, tempted to get the motorized one before it's gone. Hmm... Also, I still don't know why the heck C3PO is in this set.

Nice to finally get a Han with the ESB jacket (though why is he out in the Hoth cold with it on instead of his parka??). Not sure why they say Veers is new given he looks identical to the fig you get in the battle packs except for the face which is nothing special. Overall the walker design is kind of meh (no better than the original) and hence seems like a missed opportunity to revisit this set in a larger UCS form. Would've made more sense than the shuttle as an ESB anniversary year set.

Light years ahead of the motorised one, but this honestly looks like a poor man's version of the original, with the lack of printed dishes and the stickered cockpit window.

Is there any chance this is preliminary box art? I've got to say I'm really surprised in the recycled nature of this set. It's not that it's bad, but in 7 years since the original non-motorized version, Lego could not find anything to improve on or redesign? This is nothing close to the remakes of sets like the Slave I or Millennium Falcon. This looks more like they knocked a few bricks off the 4483 and called it a day. I understand that they redo sets so that cats who missed out on the original in 2003 can get one, but come on man! Throw the long time collectors a bit of freshness.

I missed out on 4483 and was excited about this set, but it is missing a good deal of detail from the original. It is a smaller version, but some things (like the dishes) really could have been kept on this one. I do like how there is a little less dark gray than the original, though.

Yeah I would like to see a side-by-side comparison of this with the older one and a picture of the actual AT-AT from the movie. My feeling is the old one would win hands down for movie accuracy. The head design, especially, seems smashed on the new one.

I've defended redesigns before, but this set isn't giving me much to work with. There's not a whole lot different here at first glance. New Han is cool though.

I realise that this set could have been so much more, but adding everything up, I may still get this.
I've never owned an AT-AT, or C-3PO, it has a new Han, and the price doesn't seem nearly as awful as many of the other more recent sets.
I certainly wont be getting this too soon, but if I make my way to Seattle come October, then from my side of things it'll be a bargain.

Hopefully the head wont be as fragile as the 4483 set.

Not only that, but it looks like the Luke pilot helmet got some additional detailing on the sides.

Umm I have been looking at the nice big image.... I don't know what the top of Han's torso actually is... buy if it is his chest, it looks like it is a different colour to the rest of his skin...? Not sure.
May the mass times acceleration be with you!

Yes, that's because they printed the flesh tone onto a dark blue torso without sufficient white under-printing. The real figures may or may not come out like that, it varies in production.

I'm actually rather disappointed in this. I was pretty excited when I heard that there was going to be a new AT-AT, as it's one of my favorite vehicles in Star Wars and I loved the previous one (4483). I've gotta say though, there has been very little change, and the things they have changed I think actually make it worse. No printed dishes, no dishes on the sides of the head, less pieces, etc. Here's hoping for a midi-scale AT-AT.

Hopefully that Bespin Han will show up in a magnet set soon.
