I asked Lego, via their website, if these would be available elsewhere and they said they are looking to make them available in Europe, but they don't have a release date yet, so I would rather suspect these are going to be available freely to everyone. here's hoping anyway!
And yes please to a molded chrome Han in Carbonite!!
lol i just called my local lego store and when i asked about the chrome stormtrooper and the magnet set wth the snowie i practically heard his jaw hit the floor he did not know about it but was more excited then i was
I have NO idea what your talking about...but it sure sounds cool
They should make a chrome R2-D2. That would be cool right? They should have a magnet set with the chrome 3PO, Vader, and Stormie. Then they make another 3 chromes. And then it goes on and on. It's a circle of life my fellow younglings.

I went by the park this afternoon and they had maybe 10 left out on the shelves of the Big Shop at park closing. I didn't go by the Lego Studios store or the Clubhouse, but I know they were being sold there as well. There is a limit of 2 per guest per day so that there will be some left for Star Wars Weekend, but they are selling fast! I personally doubt there will be any left after Sunday. Also, at least in the Big Shop, they have expanded their Star Wars section so that there are a lot more sets on the floor than usual.
I don't get it. Clearly I'm the only gumball who doesn't understand what all the fuss is about. Its a chrome stormtrooper? Since when are stormies chromed? Maybe I'm just naive. The only plausible chromed figure was C3P0. Why? Because 3P0 IS 'chromish' in the movie. What the heck, why not chrome a millenium falcon, or a death star, that would look just as stupid in my opinion. I'm honestly not trying to be cynical, sarcastic or humbugish... but its hard not to... me thinks this one is just too far left field. Smells like corporate bulls following the herd to me.
I have to say that these things are very nice. The picture doesn't really do them justice. I don't see why anyone would be upset about another stormtrooper variant. So they aren't in any of the movies - well neither are the shadow troopers and that doesn't make them any less cool to have. I will always welcome more variety. I have a small group of 5 of these and I think they are great. I think 10 will be a nice round number to stop with.
All that being said, I think it's funny how no matter what LEGO does, many people get all upset about things like this. I can understand the non-U.S. fans since they can't get them first-hand at this time. It's the people who complain that gold C-3PO's aren't available for anyone who wants one and now are uspet because even though these can be purchased, they're too expensive...
Chrome Stormtrooper to be available online and in stores
Many of you may know that during the recent Star Wars Weekend in LEGOLand, CA, the park sold a seemingly exclusive chrome silver Stormtrooper magnet that many fans and collectors including me have went lengths to get the limited 2 per customer. Good news for everyone: it has been confirmed with LEGO that the silver Stormtroopers will be making their way to LEGO stores and online worldwide in the next week or two.
If you’re wondering, you get a normal minifig with all the detachable parts. The cost should not exceed $12.99, which is the price they were sold at LEGOLand.
