I realized after last week’s hatching of shiny Komala that what I should have hatched were the starters since they can’t be found in the wild at all. I had already hatched a shiny Rowlet a while ago, and the Decidueye that’s part of my regular A-team was obtained by pure luck when I restarted Ultra Moon, so the only one that was missing was Dartrix. After my longish egg run on Komala, this one came really fast at only 37 eggs. My next set of shinies will be the Litten and Poplio lines, but since the Dartrix egg, I’m north of 360 eggs right now. It’s not fun and I am reminded why I hate hatching eggs. It just feels like the odds are not great. Maybe it’s because of the stupid seed thing in this generation of games, but man do I hate it.
Dartrix makes my shiny count 172 out of 393. I have a bunch more I haven’t chronicled on here yet during my long break. I’ll get around to it eventually.
