Sites GameInformer and Idle Hands are reporting that they have received the above promotional souvenir set to promote the upcoming Yoda Chronicles cartoon airing on Cartoon Network on Wednesday May 29th. There is also an event being held at New York Time Square on Thursday May 23rd at 11:00am. With the release of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey on Blu-ray/DVD tomorrow, and Target having their exclusive version that comes with an exclusive Bilbo Baggins minifigure, and with the announcement of the exclusive Special Forces Commander Clone Trooper minifigure included with The Yoda Chronicles book, I figured now would be as good of a time as any to make a checklist for all the exclusive minifigs that came with a book, video game, or Blu-ray/DVD release.
In a move that should surprise no one reading this, USA Today has been given an exclusive sneak peek of the upcoming Yoda Chronicles book that accompanies the upcoming animated series. included in the book is of course, in classic DK fashion, an exclusive minifigure, and the minifig is of none other than a Special Forces Commander Clone Trooper. The giveaway for this years LEGO Collector’s Event is themed on the new LEGO television series and the rumour is it teases an upcoming event that will further tease reveals about the show and or marketing. It’s really hard to imagine where said event could take place… It’s the first encased mini set since 2010 and features a lot of great pieces I’d love to have parted out. FYI, that’s not going to happen.
But wait, there’s more! LEGO also included a carded version of the “Employee of the Month” Vader exclusive from the upcoming Empire Strikes Out DVD. Pretty sweet.
