What ONE single *Force Power* would YOU want to have?

Ok, the question is simple. If you could have 'a' Force power, any power (at least of the ones we know of in SW lore), which would you want to have? (you can only pick ONE, not a top 3 or top 5 or whatever). Answer on impulse.

Mine would be.......

Force Push/Pull. (assuming that counts as one power).

The ability to make an object come to your hand (think Luke hanging upside down in Wampa cave, needing his lightsaber). Or likewise, being able to throw a switch from a distance. (you're running for that elevator and the door is closing but you're too far away... need to hit that button).

If I could only choose one, that would be it.

I'd go with Telekinesis in general, just for the utility of being able to lift of things, people, etc. I figure you can parley that into everything else (after all, isn't force push/pull basically the same thing? Yoda's lifting up skirts in the park, also telekinesis!). While sensing feelings would be cool, or Force Lightning so gorram useful, yeah telekinesis.

Though, for the record, if lightsaber skill (and a working lightsaber) was available, I'd opt for that.

I hear ya. I could've just said telekinesis in the generic sense as well. But I was thinking of the force powers in terms of how they've been broken down before like in the old Dark Forces/Jedi Knight computer games (for example), where they'd broken the light and dark side forces down into at least a half dozen distinctly different abilities on each side.

Quick Answer: Minor Telepathic/Empathic abilities (reading people's emotions rather than their thoughts.)

This question invites the question: What are the other Force powers? Most Force powers are variations of telepathy and telekinesis. So, I'll make a quick list of major Force powers from memory and this (disputed) page.

The Jedi Mind trick could come in really handy! Especially in the bedroom , but I think I'd opt for mind over matter. I could use it on a daily basis for more practical reasons. Light saber abilities would be cool too but I can't really think of too many reasons to be able to use it, except to show off but that might get old pretty fast. So I'll go with mind over matter Darth Vader style!

Boy, hard choice. I'd probably go for Jedi Mind Trick as well, but it really depends on where on the spectrum it's effectiveness is. Just who constitutes a weak-minded person?

I would go for the Precognition and the ability to "feel" things around me without seeing them. That would certainly be very handy in traffic or to keep my 18 months old son out of trouble.
