I'm pretty dissapointed in this set especially when it's compared to the white house. Thoughts?

The architecture sets have been rather hit-or-miss, as far as I'm concerned. If they are going to insist on such a small scale, they need to be a bit more selective about what buildings they try to represent. The White House works pretty well, the Space Needle works amazingly well, Fallingwater looks good, but some others are, IMHO, failures. The Guggenheim Museum is horribly inaccurate due to the small scale, and the John Hancock Center is a total failure because the small scale allows only the roughest approximation of the shape, and totally loses the most distinctive architectural detail, namely the patterning on the facade.

I think the criticism levied at this set is fair, particularly since the fancy-schmancy packaging and association with the Architecture theme will probably cause this set to be around the $39.99 price point, which is ridiculous when all you get is 240 pieces worth of predominantly tan brick and tile.

Nice subject and fair representation considering the scale...limited wow factor and almost sure to be overpriced. That said, there is some appeal at the prospect of being able to play out tiny, tiny episodes of 30 Rock in the palm of your hand.

You can't even tell what it is. I'm familiar with the location, and I've been there myself. I didn't recognize it. Not the best choice for a set, though I'm sure it will sell at the LEGO store in Rockefeller Center.
