So another year, and mostly the same format: Ace handling Star Wars, Eric looking at Harry Potter, and in a shocking turn of events, Nick not having to deal with a Marvel calendar dedicated to causing physical pain – he’ll be handling City this year because while his kids may be into Minecraft he decidedly is not (and also that thing was impossible to find in his area). As always, there will be some extra special bonuses, a lot of cheeky writing, tons of typos and things we miss that someone will demand we go and hire an editor to fix.
We will not do that.
Ace (Star Wars) – 5 Hit / 16 Misses
Eric (Harry Potter) – 12 Hits / 6 Misses / 1 Harry Potter / 1 Totally Neutral
Nick (City) – 17 Hits / 4 Misses
Nick (Star Wars) – 4 Hits / 17 Misses
Ace (Star Wars)
I think this is supposed to be a Christmas version of a tall droid that was in the Sandcrawler scene in ANH. It is a fine entry of the dumpster that this year’s advent calendar continues to be.
Eric (Harry Potter)
One more minifig to round things out! Cedric Diggory, the one other Hufflepuff student at Hogwarts. The face is really strong – honestly looks so much like Robert Pattinson (unlike the Edward Cullen minifig). A good one to end it on!
Nick (City and Stuff)
If this glorious little micro build was part of the Star Wars calendar, it would have been two days worth. But instead, we get a great little engine and car, in Christmas colors, and the City calendar continues to turn it up to 11.
This is… fine, which in the wet dumpster fire that is Star Wars this year, makes it a marginal hit I suppose. At least they put in the minor, and I mean minor, effort, to color swap in some vaguely Christmas colors. I would have been a bit happier with it if they did the round brick in red though.
I cannot look at this little thing without Dee going in my head “People love buying stupid shit!” Seriously, the Always Sunny people should get a cut of this.
