So another year, and mostly the same format: Ace handling Star Wars, Eric looking at Harry Potter, and in a shocking turn of events, Nick not having to deal with a Marvel calendar dedicated to causing physical pain – he’ll be handling City this year because while his kids may be into Minecraft he decidedly is not (and also that thing was impossible to find in his area). As always, there will be some extra special bonuses, a lot of cheeky writing, tons of typos and things we miss that someone will demand we go and hire an editor to fix.
We will not do that.
Ace (Star Wars) – 4 Hit / 11 Misses
Eric (Harry Potter) – 9 Hits / 5 Misses / 1 Harry Potter
Nick (City) – 12 Hits / 3 Misses
Nick (Star Wars) – 2 Hits / 13 Misses
Ace (Star Wars)
A Treadwell droid? At least this one is recognizable assuming I got it right. If I am right, then this is possibly one of the worst possible renditions simply because the number of arms is anemic. And it may or not be Christmas-themed. The base of the droid did have a white(-ish) and red colorway:

If you squint your eyes you could say that it’s a fairly faithful reproduction but there’s no reason to not use a bigger hub and add the correct amount of arms. Thumbs down.
Eric (Harry Potter)
Luna Lovegood, everybody! Love that torso, not much else to say here. If you like Harry Potter minifigs, you will love this calendar. If you’re like me and your minifig days are kinda behind you, this calendar is a bit exhausting. I wish this calendar was only clever builds like the beer stein and frog.
Nick (City and Stuff)
Imagine if this had been one of the droids over on the Star Wars side? So much vastly cooler than most anything we’ve gotten. Still, I like this cute little build, so will call it a hit.
Okay, I like the little treadwell droid, even if it’s kind of a cop-out to give it the same basic colors. I know, they could have done more, but still, compared to their quarter-ass efforts, this is at least half-assed, which is enough to give a grudging hit from me. I at least liked this build.
That pizza comes out of the box, but the box doesn’t shut because of how that slice it fit. I don’t know that I’d actually ever eat a pizza like this, but I haven’t had pizza in months.
