So another year, and mostly the same format: Ace handling Star Wars, Eric looking at Harry Potter, and in a shocking turn of events, Nick not having to deal with a Marvel calendar dedicated to causing physical pain – he’ll be handling City this year because while his kids may be into Minecraft he decidedly is not (and also that thing was impossible to find in his area). As always, there will be some extra special bonuses, a lot of cheeky writing, tons of typos and things we miss that someone will demand we go and hire an editor to fix.
We will not do that.
Ace (Star Wars) – 3 Hit / 11 Misses
Eric (Harry Potter) – 8 Hits / 5 Misses / 1 Harry Potter
Nick (City) – 11 Hits / 3 Miss
Nick (Star Wars) – 1 Hits / 13 Misses
Ace (Star Wars)
Ah, finally, something that isn’t a pile of throw-up parts. This Jawa continues the tradition of ugly, Star Wars-themed Christmas sweaters featuring a gonk droid and that other droid from the other day. Given that today was a winner, I predict utter garbage until the end of the calendar.
Eric (Harry Potter)
This. Build. Is. So. Good!
Almost.
I absolutely love the techniques on display here, but what baffles me is the handle of the stein. Why is it made up of three separate colors? We have that bar and cattle horn in dark bluish gray! It’s disappointing, because this is such a great build and clever use of pieces, but the colors really hold it back.
Nick (City and Stuff)
Is this a baby wearing a mask, or was the mom a little bit busy on her last trip to Ceti Alpha V, and this was the result. The husband seems happy though, so maybe he just has an Andromedan grandmother? There are also more questions about the plush she was holding… or was that another baby? Still, it’s cute and in theme, so I’ll go with hit.
Like all the others, we finally get a proper minifig and another great ugly sweater. I just love these things, absolutely love them. Also, given what’s on the sweater, this should have included the BD droid and he should have been green. A rare hit from Star Wars here.
So, this has liquid in it, and there are little boba pearls. It took all my will power to not open the thing and try the forbidden tapioca.
