So another year, and mostly the same format: Ace handling Star Wars, Eric looking at Harry Potter, and in a shocking turn of events, Nick not having to deal with a Marvel calendar dedicated to causing physical pain – he’ll be handling City this year because while his kids may be into Minecraft he decidedly is not (and also that thing was impossible to find in his area). As always, there will be some extra special bonuses, a lot of cheeky writing, tons of typos and things we miss that someone will demand we go and hire an editor to fix.
We will not do that.
<Day 4 Summary>
Ace (Star Wars) – 2 Hit / 2 Misses
Eric (Harry Potter) – 2 Hits / 1 Miss / 1 Harry Potter
Nick (City) -4 Hits / 1 Miss
Nick (Star Wars) – 1 Hit / 4 Misses
Ace – Star Wars
I was joking honestly about making Boba Fart’s chart, but that is honestly what this thing looks like, doesn’t it? And if it really is part of Boba’s workshop, then it’s just dumb. If it’s not, then it’s still dumb cause I can’t tell what it is. I challenge you to show this to any LEGO Star Wars fan who hasn’t built through this calendar yet to identify what this could be. I mean, even a weapons rack is more desirable than this thing. The hinge could rotate the flap down, but then it ends up looking like some sort of Xerox machine. This here is a prime example of why I hate multi day builds. I can only hope that tomorrow’s build will shed some light as to what today’s build is supposed to be.
Eric – Harry Potter
It’s the Sorting Hat!
…
It’s not great. If I didn’t know what the Sorting Hat was, I would have no clue what this is supposed to be. The round quarter tiles give it more of a moustache than the slope of a hat. Definitely could’ve used some more smoothing to really sell that “hat” silhouette.
Nick – City
You know, if that hair was red and gray (more gray and white than red anymore), and the head had a beard that’s… well, more white than red… this would be my new sigfig. I had to start wearing glasses a couple of years ago and they look exactly like those. I have a nice SLR camera that I’m often too lazy to bring out unless it’s a holiday or something special… and I may or may not own a half dozen different Christmas sweaters. If they actually made this sweater I would buy it. I always love the sweater figures and this one is a hit like all the others.
On the 5th day of Christmas, my clearly-not-true-love gave to me… a chair. If you look at the box, you sit a droid in there to be worked on, since Frik can’t use chairs given the huge risk of being sat on since he’s basically the size of travel bag of chips. Dull and meh, so going with miss.
You know, if most people found a mouse in their oddly-cooked-in-the-box Mac & Cheese, they’d probably scream and then start looking for a lawyer. But if you saw on this cute, you’d put down the phone, adopt them, and make sure they always had all the Mac and Cheese they would ever want.
