LEGO revealed new Harry Potter sets today, six in all. They’ll be ready for pre-order starting this Thursday on April 30, 2020. They won’t ship until August 1st giving you plenty of time to save your pennies or wait until just the right Shop@Home promotion comes along to take advantage of like Double VIP points or something.
A couple of observations:
- 75980 Attack on The Burrow sees the return of Bellatrix and her awesome hairpiece.
- 75979 Hedwig looks like it moves with the turn of the crank. Based on the picture on the box, it looks like it just moves the wings up and down. I do like that they include a unique Harry Potter minifig even though it’s not listed in the text.
- Centaurs are not considered minifigs.
- If you haven’t yet, I’d start picking up / completing your LEGO Harry Potter collection now before they disappear from store shelves and the aftermarket prices skyrocket.
- My two favorites are Hedwig because of the reasons outlined above and Astronomy Tower, anything to grow the Castle is automatic buy.
