Last Week of Bricktober Deals

Postby Staff » Sun Oct 23, 2011 12:16 am

LEGO

This is the last week of Bricktober and while the Buy-2-Get-1-Free sale never materialized, Toys'R'Us is offering dollar discounts: spend $50 or more on LEGO construction sets or games and receive a $10 discount or spend $100 or more and receive a $25 discount. The catch is that it does not apply to LEGO Star Wars sets, but Pirates of the Caribbean and Harry Potter are fair game. If you need a small LEGO set to tip the bill over the threshold, the stores are awash with Collecitble Minifigures Series 5 right now. Beware of any potential TRU mark up that may affect your potential savings. This offer is good both online and in-store. They offer free shipping on orders $75 or more, so it might save you a car trip to order online. And finally, you also get a free "Astronaut" magnet with a purchase of $20 or more.

Update: I've been told that in order to get the dollar discount to work online, you have to delete the free promotional items in your cart since the online system won't allow promotions to stack. You didn't want a glued minifig magnet anyway.

Update: That 30055 Vulture Droid set we reported on earlier? While they were physically at Toys'R'Us retail stores for a few weeks now, they were unavailable for purchase until now. You can buy them individually for $4.99 or if you spend $30 or more on a LEGO construction or game set, you can get it for free.

Also, there's a 25% off Cyber Week promotion going on at the website. It says "up to 25%" on LEGO. The selection isn't very big, but 7965 Millennium Falcon is priced at $112.49, down from TRU price of $149.99, regular MSRP is $139.99. The funny thing is, despite the discount saying that LEGO Star Wars is excluded, if you remove all the promotional items, the $25 dollar discount applies automatically, for a net price of $87.49 and you still score free shipping. That's about a 40% savings off of MSRP. There are a few other sets on sale as well such as 7962 Anakin's and Sebulba's Podracers for $71.24, 7964 Republic Frigate for $97.49. For the Republic Frigate, you can add 1 Collectible Minifigures Series 5 to bring your total up past $100 to trigger the $25 dollar discount. Again, this particular deal is only available online and ONLY for today, Sunday October 23rd.

I updated the main post with a new deal. It's detailed near the end of the post. But basically you can save nearly 40% on some big ticket lego star wars items today only. Falcon is only $87.49 if you remove all the promotional freebies.

another update: coupon code 947271 will knock another $10 off your total, so the falcon comes down to $77.49. you may have to call customer service to get free shipping however as it seems to eliminate that deal.

I was just going to post the coupon code but someone beat me to it. Very nice deal for in store pickup. I'm hoping to pick up the magnet and vulture droid in store. They tend not to scan them if they already rang up your item without the freebie.
eBay store, contact me if you'd like to perform trades from my inventory. I'm looking for original genosian fighers, second version a-wing fighters and tie bombers. I may be interested in other sets so let me know what you have.

WARNING!!! To add insult to injury (glued figs) the week four 'Astronaut' is missing his airtanks. I was in to pick up a few sets anyway, and all three week 4 bricktober figs I received were missing their airtanks. Thanks a lot LEGO for messing this up...

Well, color me jealous. I thought I got a great deal earlier this season picking up the Falcon for $99 and the podracers for $75 (both on Amazon). Should've waited!

First post here, but I've been a lurker on your website for almost a year now. I just wanted to send a BIG thank you for finding this deal. I've been wanting to get this long time for now but never wanted to spend that much money on it (considering I'm old and should be buying sets for my daughter! lol)

However, getting this set for $77.00 is just a no brainer. I plan to go to Toys R Us either tomorrow or Tuesday to pick up my purchase. Thanks again FBTB!

Welcome, starqrtrs! I'm going to pick up the Podracers set - $55! Not as huge of a deal as the Falcon, but then I'm happy with 4504 and don't want this new one.

if you've used the coupon code already and want another, coupon code 947274 seems to work as well. same deal as before: $10 off $75 or more.

Somebody over at Slickdeals.net posted that 947270-947274 seem to work. Anybody who needs five orders, there you go. I'll be picking up my podracers today or tomorrow.

I didn't have any problem using 947271 on multiple orders. What exactly are people seeing that is preventing the code from being used multiple times?

I took advantage of the Falcon deal this morning, and opted to pick it up in store. I got a new Falcon for just over $82 after taxes.

AND

They gave me the Space Man Bricktober figure.

PLUS

They couldn't find the free vulture droid, so they gave me the Forestman Bricktober figure in it's place. Now I have all 4!

TOYS R US has adjusted the mistake. You can no longer get the discount for the Falcon Set. I tried today to do it and well it would not let me. You can however still use the $10 off coupon everyone posted. To those who got it great luck to others maybe next time..

I submitted an order for in-store pickup yesterday. It finally got processed today and was cancelled saying "... unable to fulfill your order..." I think I've had this in the past when the store inventory doesn't match what it's saying on-line. Which of course blows because they probably had the inventory for it yesterday. Anyone know if the order can be switched to another store - one that does have the inventory?

I got the Falcon deal with the 25% off, the $25 off and the $10 off. Opted for store pick-up to save shipping and try and get the other items.

The staff in the store were really rude to me though when I asked for the Bricktober figure. Said they'd never heard of it, even though I had it all printed out and was showing it to them.

They gave me the Vulture Droid though.

I picked up my Podracers and was able to get a Vulture Droid and a Forestman Bricktober magnet without much hassle.
