Alphabet Fighter Contest Results

Postby Staff » Tue Aug 09, 2011 2:22 am

The votes are in and we have our winners!

In first place, with a total of 48 votes, is the M-Wing Viper by ted @ndes:

In a very close second is the Iommian 7th iteration i-Fighter, codename: SPINNER by Fat Tony with 45 votes:

And finally, the f-wing fighter by bartosza6m lands in third with 32 votes:

I want to thank all the participants for their fantastic ships and the forum members who voted. There were so many great submissions that even having five votes to spread around was tough. Congratulations to everyone.

Thanks to all participants , it always surprises me the design scope that comes out in these contests.
An awful lot of inspiration to be had for future builds.
Well done to the guys who placed the top three your MOCs are excellent to say the least.
Further thanks to the Brothers Bothon who continue to challenge us all and may I suggest that the next comp has a non votable moderators catagory just to show us what you might do...

Congrats to the winners, All of the designs were good. The i-Fighter by Fat Tony was my personal favorite, with the winning f-Wing being a close second.

XD Thank you guys!

Congrats to Fat Tony and ted @ndes, I thought Tony's i-wing would be the winner, but this M-wing is also impressive.

Wow. I won? I definitely felt good about this build, but in a FBTB contest that doesn't always count for much. As has been said many times, the quality and creativity of entries made for some tough competition, and tough choices... which always make these FBTB contests so special. Thanks to everyone for their "top-5" votes (...and to those who at least considered it). That was definitely a close vote. Fat Tony's swivel cockpit and bartosza6m's retractable droid socket were genius ideas, and some of the other concepts weren't far behind.

Thanks again, everyone! I'm definitely excited, and I'll be wearing my FBTB t-shirt with pride!

Congrats to the winners, and to fbtb for the great turnout. Lots of fun stuff, and alot of great entries. I'm already looking forward to the next contest. Oh and thanks to the twenty people who voted for mine, inspite of the fact that it looks a little on the star trek side of things. oh and sorry to don, i still haven't gotten around to finishing the Dos Equis-wing fighter just yet.. tho i did start it. we'll have to see what happens

Congrates to the winners!

And a special thanks for the FBTBs for setting up such a great contest! The typographic mash-up theme was a really good one :-)

I have a question. Are there any limitations to who can vote for these contests? I know that Eurobricks limits the voting to members who have joined before the contest is announced. Anything like that here?
