So it turns out evil emperors like podracing as a side to ruling the galaxy with a plastic fist. Huh, who would've guessed?

And here's where the evil emperor rules the race himself. His podracer goes up to 11, of course.

General Ross's USAF XA-51 Astro Saber

Ever wonder what the US Air Force was up at Area-51 when Indy fought Col Dolchenko in the rocket sled test chamber in "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?" As it turns-out they were applying Roswell technology to the latest generation of US fighter aircraft. The end result was cut from the film (probably a good thing) but is presented here : the USAF XA-51 Astro Saber. It features 2x Pratt & Whitney J-0637 mondo jet engines and takes its all silver/chrome/yellow styling from the squardron if Saber jets stationed at Area-51 as shown in the film. Sitting in the cockpit is Indy's close friend General Ross who, when he isn't vouching for Indy's character, heads one of the coolest weapons programs ever to pass mach-1.

sorry for crummy photo quality. i have no camera and no light box.
but i do have a desk lamp, a sink, and a cell phone,

i am greatly impressed by some of the engine design in this thread. typically, Plankton does not have the brains to put much into his engines.
