Here is my entry everyone. Theme: Toy Story 3, this pod focuses on the characters in the movie but also in the Dump truck set. (Lotso, Stretch, Chunk)

Lotso Huggin' is driving his Dump Truck pod that is pulled by engines dedicated to his Goons.

This is a Ferrari Podracer it was built for the FBTB contest.

The specs of the Ferrari Podracer
max speed: 1200km/hr
length: is 12.45m
width: is 8m
engine type: is a dual turbo jet engines that have a flat intake where it splits up the air in to spheres that explode the fuel and air together then send that into the turbines in the back for maximum thrust.

for building the engines i really wanted something that seemed less exposed engine that was slick the actual braking panels on the back are a future design form Ferrari my next project will actually build what they want to be done to racing.

The cockpit was my favorite part of this. it was completely from the formula one car in design but i put more of a twist on it. this was a fun build really liked it. i wanted it to feel like it was a real podracer as if the car itself turned into one

sponsor stickers racing today is all about the sponsors so i had to include them in the design with out them the race does not happen. I did think it was funny that i put a Bridgestone one on maybe in the future they will design anti-propulsive lifts.

Azula's Podracer
Theme: Avatar: The Last Airbender

I find lack of women drivers in this contest disturbing. (force-choking my computer)

And because of that I have decided to build Azula's podracer.
For anyone who is not familiar with A:TLA, Azula is princess of Fire Nation.
Btw. Ignore flowers on uniform and in hair, that's only Dark Red uniform and black woman hair I have.

I still need to make it, since I am not sure what's the deadline for submiting an entrys.

It says it's currently unavailable, but I can see it in flickr and FBTB outpost.
Is it something to do with the link ? Can it be fixed ?

That usually happens when you upload a photo, post a link to it, and then upload a replacement photo to Flickr at a later time. The original link you'd made points to the first URL, but Flickr updates the URL when you replace the photo (on Flickr) so the link no longer exists... if that makes sense.

I also had that idea. I think I had the right pieces, too. What I didn't have was the time to pull it together. I kept intending to set some time aside to pull pieces from all my sets for this, but never got a chance. I WAS going to make a stab at sneaking in under the wire tonight, but I doubt I'll bother now, as it won't even be an original idea any more. Ah well. This was probably going to be my only (albeit slim) chance at getting the new Podracer set, too.

Good work, though. Your claws look better than mine would have, anyway, as I was going to have to use click hinges to build them up.

Some awesome entries guys! I wish I could enter, but I'm in university and miles away from my LEGO collection. I was hoping to build a Harry Potter themed racer with (modified) Hogwarts Express train tanks as engines, oh well! Good luck to all and a huge thank you to the organisers, I'm looking forward to the 'race', and of course seeing the victor!
