My CubeDude Entry is a scene where General Grievous eliminates a Clone Scouting Team.

On Genosis Commander Chest Wound & Corporal Headless are given a seemingly simple assignment: Scout the area around one of the steam vents of a suspected new Droid Founrdy for enemy activity and possible entrances.

Too bad for them this was the Vent where General Grievous would step out for his smoke breaks (come on with that cough he must be a smoker)...

Grievous is quick to dismember & decapitate the poor Corporal... As Commander CW lights his Jetpack in hopes of escape with the news of the General's presence Grievous impales him without even having to turn to face the Clone officer!

Oh, did I mention that The Fine General was hanging upside down from a rocky out-cropping during the whole (short) fight?

Official Entry Pic:

My basic clone design started as Angus' Captian Rex. I removed the Kama, Pauldron & Rangefinder as well as recolored him. For the helmet I actually redesigned it 4 times! I no longer use his technique for the color detail around the visor or for the jutting out chin slope. My final design is a couple of plates shorter and the chin slope has a less drastic angle. I also made the visor slot more closely resemble a frown as my wife likes the Phase 1 "Sad Guys" (as she calls them) the most.

The Jetpack is based of Angus' Boba Fett Jetpack but I modified it to clip easily onto the plate on the standard Clonetrooper body's back.

The pistol & rifle are original designs.

The initial inspiration for The General was two-fold: Larry Lars' Grievous Design (though it wasn't properly proportioned for true CubeDude-ness) and the UCS Grievous Figure. In designing him the torso came together quickly and didn't change but I went through 4 set of legs before settling on the final design and 3 different heads.

Grievous is about 2 bricks taller than the Clones are as he stands like 7 feet tall.

Here is the Set with several pics:

You might also want to look at the stormtrooper's rifle hanging off the side of the base. The rules say no overhang, and I would hate to have someone's entry disqualified on a technicality like that.

Yeah, I noticed that on a few of the entries (Spidey & Awards Celebration), even though the overhangs are much smaller (1 plate maybe) they are good entries but the rules to state NO OVERHANG, not slight overhang allowed...

I made sure that Spidey does not overhang. You can see that in the straight-on shots in this brickshelf folder (when public). Besides, if there was enough overhang to make our entries ineligible, the admins would surely tell us.

Here is my entry. I call it "Roger Roger". It is from the scene where Obi-wan and Qui-gon are cutting through the blast doors. This is my first MOC.

Well, the submission window is closed so I just want to take this opportunity to wish us all the best in this contest, 15 fine entries...

Regardless of who wins I am happy to have finally entered my first FBTB contest. The format presented some interesting challenges and I found myself revisiting my designs almost daily for the month. I can honestly say that I am a (slightly) better builder due in part to this contest.

The entries are amazing and inspiring...

I had hoped to enter this contest, too, but spent too much time tinkering in LDRAW and didn't get my bricklink order in time! Oh well, guess it's my own fault.

Anyway, some great entries here, it's been fun to see how everyone creates within the cubedude format. Good luck, contenders! And thank you, staffers, for putting up yet another great contest!

I'm actually a bit disappointed that no one took the initiative to actually make a Power Miners entry.

First China has more people, then they have more CO2 emissions, now they're making more CubeDudes... there's no hope for us.
