[CAN} Cad Bane's Speeder Spotted at Zellers $39.99

Ok, so I was in the Zellers in Barrie today and they have some of the new Star Wars sets in. Imagine my surprise when I see Cad Bane's Speeder on the shelf!

Imagine my even bigger surprise when I see the price sticker beneath it says $39.99. I looked twice to make sure that they just weren't sitting in the wrong spot, and it definitely said $39.99 which BTW was the same price that shop@home was selling them for the first couple of weeks before putting the price back up to $64.99.

I wasn't able to confirm that was the scanned price, since the scanner was, as usual in Barrie, not working when I tried it.

Awesome find, I'm in Guelph so I'll let you guys know if I see anything tomorrow after class. Earlier about week ago, I saw they had 8089 Hoth Wampa Cave, but that was the only new set. I think they wanted to clear out their older stuff first, cause I saw 8037 Anakin's Y-wing Starfighter and it's been there for a while.

Can anyone tell me why they had that price jump? I remember seeing it but I thought I was crazy and just imagined it but you guys saw it too.

I just got back from Zellers here in Guelph, Ontario and sadly, no Cad Bane's Speeder.

I did finally manage to pick up 8093 Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter, and they also finally had more of the summer sets including 8097 Slave 1, 8096 Emperor Palpatine's Shuttle, with all the same prices as on LEGO Shop@Home. On a side note, can anyone tell me why Slave 1 is more expensive than Shuttle even though it has less pieces?

I'm pretty sure Cad Bane's Speeder will make it's way around anyways, considering they had the 7753 Pirate Tank last year, which was also limited edition.

I bought one for $39.99 today from my closest Zellers in Orangeville, Ontario. There were only 2-3 left. I thought it was put in the wrong spot at first, but no, that was the price. It wasn't a special sale price either that I could see.

It rang up properly at the cash too. I've just finished putting it together - a beautiful set with awesome figures, too!

Just got back from Zellers here in Guelph, and they had it! They had several so yeah, I'd definitely make use of this deal, paying 40$ instead of 65$.
