architect series White House

Postby ricefields » Tue Jun 29, 2010 7:47 pm

I did a search on the site and could not find if anyone posted the upcoming architect series set White House and I could not find a suitable place to put this so its in the finds/deals. I just found out about this set by landing on the following ebay auction

http://cgi.ebay.ca/Lego-White-House-21006-Mint-Signed-Architecture-Tucker-/280525074070?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item415098ee96

obviously I have been in the dark as its old news on brickset and eurobricks but should be here in fbtb too!
http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=42677

Will be released in August along with the rest of summer sets so will wait to pay $70-80 us retail at that time.

I bet this set will be hot as a gift set come fall / christmas (just like the rest of series were hot before christmas 2009).

I was at the Lego store today, where they had 4 of the architecture models built---including the White House. I agree, it was very attractive.

Wow, disappointing. The front is rounded but the model is rectangular?
eBay store, contact me if you'd like to perform trades from my inventory. I'm looking for original genosian fighers, second version a-wing fighters and tie bombers. I may be interested in other sets so let me know what you have.

The photos on Eurobricks do include a rounded front shot -- which is the opposite side of the building. I think LEGO are showing the less-iconic side on the front of the box (which doesn't seem wise).

Wow the guy is selling his autographed copy for $350!
At Brickworld the kit was for sale for $55 and Adam Tucker was signing them for free.

I'm not at all surprised at how people can take advantage of certain situations. I only regret not buying an autographed copy of the set at Brickworld for my own collection.

Actually it looks like this was an auction, so he didn't set the price.$350 was the highest bid.
