I used to love C-3PO saying "How rude" out the front of Jabba's palace. But now I love Admiral Ackbar's "look out, its a trap". I would have to say I use this line quite a lot, and find it so funny on Robot Chicken -Admiral Ackbars cerial. Also was used in a few other comedies Family Guy (I think) and The Big Bang Theory.

I think the clones have had some pretty good lines, but my personal faves are:

(Episode 1: Ambush) Jek: Suck laser!!
(Episode 5: Rookies) Hevy: What the hell was that?!
(Episode 27: Landing at Point Rain) Waxer: Why do we always get the fun missions?

And then there are all the Rex gems:

Well...trying to figure out a way to post this and being politically correct at the same time..
From the recent "Something, something, something, dark side" movie.

Han (Peter) is about to get lowered into the carbon freeze chamber.
Leia (Lois) says: 'I love you'
Han (Peter) replies: 'Flip off' (insert proper expletive)

That was about the most epic line change I have ever heard. Every time I watch ESB now...at least twice since December, I cant help laughing my butt off when that part in the film hits. I am not sure now if I should curse Seth MacFarlane or thank him for forever changing my perspective on the best Star Wars film ever....

Reading through this entire thread, I've come to realize part of the reason the OT is so much better than the PT: The quotes. Compare:

Without the midi-chlorians life could not exist, and we would have no knowledge of the Force. They continually speak to us, telling us the will of the Force.

The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together.

Both quotes explained to different generations what "The Force" is, but, to me, the original explanation from Obi Wan is clearly the superior one.

Vader: Where is Padme? Is she safe, is she all right?
Palpatine: I'm afraid she died. ... it seems in your anger, you killed her.
Vader: I couldn't have! She was alive! I felt her! She was alive! It's impossible!
Vader: Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!

Vader: No. I am your father.
Luke: No. No. That's not true! That's impossible!
Vader: Search your feelings. You know it to be true.
Luke: Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!

Both scenes are meant to be dramatic, emotional scenes, yet the only one that ever felt like it had real emotion, real dramatical urgency, to me, was the scene from Episode V. The scene from Episode III, by comparison, just feels like a farce.

Look at the "comedic relief" in each movie:

Obi Wan: She seems to be on top of things. (Referring to the fact that Padme had climbed atop the pillar she was chained to.)

C-3PO: This is such a drag. (Referring to the fact that he was being dragged along by R2.)

Han: Look, your worshipfulness...

Leia: Will somebody get this big walking carpet out of my way?

Leia: Why, you stuck up, half-witted, scruffy-looking... nerf-herder!

Those two lines from Episode II made me groan out loud when I heard them in the theatre due to their lameness. I was like, "Really Lucas? You had 2 decades to come up with a script and this was the best you could do?" Those lines from the OT (among others), were much more humorous. Using light-hearted banter/sarcastic remarks really helped build the camaraderie amongst the characters as opposed to just making lame puns about the situation.

Heck, even the "Apology Accepted" scene with Vader succeeded in giving this villain a (admittedly dark) sense of humor and humanizing him.


Anyways, I could go on and on, but I'll stop here. For those of you who don't see my point yet, I'll hand it off to Yoda:

There's one quote that I always liked as it appeals to my sick sense of humour:

Anakin to either Padme or Palpatine after killing Count Dooku "I killed an unarmed man."

I always liked the double meaning to this as Count Dooku was literally unarmed since Anakin had cut Dooku's arms off.
