In the latest issue of Toyfare, number 146, there's a two-page spread showing Rebel Alliance stuff from the Dictionary.

Pic taken with my camera phone to wet your appetites.

Be sure to check out the magazine, maybe even buy it, to see the pages in all their glory. :)

All, I'm interviewing LEGO, DK and LFL for BrickJournal and wondered if anyone has anything they'd like to ask them.

Please PM/email or post in this thread if you do :)

Thanks

StarWars.com has one more Sneak Peek article up about the book, this time featuring 6211 Imperial Star Destroyer. This one looks a little more interesting to me than the previous two. The photo of the opened up Star Destroyer is very nice. Also of note, the article now lists a release date of October 10th rather than simply saying October like the last article.

On the Dictionary's Facebook page I found a pic of the UCS sets.

So, does that mean this book will lay to rest once and for all what constitutes "UCS"? XD

I hope they misprint a battle pack on a UCS page, throwing yet more fuel on the fire.

Nice pictures, but I'm not so sure about some of the text.
The model contains a mechanism that, when pulled, ejects the escape pod through a hatch in the ship's underside.

D'oh! All those years I've been pushing that "mechanism". How silly of me... :p

I'm surprised no-one has posted the link or started a discussion thread yet:

Whoever made that page placed Obi's Ep. 3 jedi interceptor with hyperdrive ring in the Ep. 2 section. Oops!

That's debatable. The film ordering is done by 'first seen in'. So yes, it is a ROTS set, but the majority of it (the ring) was first seen in AOTC.

The Ep. 2 ring is quite different looking from the Ep. 3 one - if you carefully watch the movies, the AoTC one has 2 big engines while the RoTS one has 6 smaller ones, so it's unique to Ep. 3.

It's like saying one should list a TIE bomber and TIE interceptor as first being seen in A New Hope just because they happen to be TIEs. I would disagree - they are different designs unique to each movie.

well, my copy of the book came today ... I like it. Very good stuff. The minifig is v cool and the info in the book is pretty good. Great photos (well done Jeremy). It's up to date with everything released to date and even includes the next Brickmaster set (Mini RGS)!

I particularly liked the interview at the back, but I won't spoil that for those that haven't got the book yet.

Overall, for just over £10 (the Amazon pre-order price), this is a bargain.

Thanks Pete.

See if you can find the four mistakes :(

is one of them the lack of the Brickmaster Dropship mini from SDCC this year? (this is where you point out where it is! ;))

mind you, a few mistakes shouldn't be an issue ... i bet there isn't a book out there without one or two mistakes!!

Nope. Not including a set might not necessarily be a mistake, but a matter of secrecy.

I'm talking about the content that is in there. For starters, the three Mirror sets are on the Mini page. That's one.

So it is really already released in UK? I thought I had a display error when watching Amazon UK's website today.

>:) Amazon can be much worse than Shop@Home when it comes to pushing release dates back and forth.

The UK edition is in stock and available now from amazon.co.uk. In the English Books section of amazon.de that same UK edition is scheduled for October 1st, whereas the German edition should be released on September 30th. The US edition is 3 Euro cheaper than than the UK edition but will not be released until October 5th (on the amazon.de site).
amazon.com also shows October 5th as release date for the US edition. On amazon.co.uk it is simply "Currently unavailable".

But it seems the UK edition is definitely earlier to market than the US edition.
