Sales News Week of July 18

BlueDragonZ from our forums reports that TRU is once again offering a BOGO 50% sale on select LEGO themes (Duplo, Atlantis, City and Prince of Persia) with no coupon required. Their BOGO 50% sale on books is also still in effect as well as their 20% off all LEGO games. Sale is good online and in store, and does not require a coupon this time. If you’re lucky you’ll be able to score some of the new City sets with this deal (planes, trains, and automobiles)

TRU online also has all of the August wave of LEGO Star Wars in stock except for 8129 AT-AT Walker and 8096 Emperor Palpatine’s Shuttle. They are also offering free shipping on orders over $49.

Walmart has all of the August sets in stock with 97 cent shipping. Thanks to sadowsk1 for the tip. Though, I think everyone is just waiting for Amazon to offer the sets, amirite? (They have pre-orders up, with an expected availability of 8/1)

Target is continuing their markdowns on certain sets, discounts ranging anywhere from 30-50%. Your results may vary.

[US] Summer Clearance Kicking In at Target

With the approach of summer sets, there is also the arrival of clearance sales. Reports are flooding in of Summer clearance at Target stores, with themes including Power Miners, City, Star Wars and Indiana Jones sets. Some noteworthy finds include:

8037 Y-Wing 30% off
8039 Venator 30% off
7199 Temple of Doom 30% off

This varies drastically from store to store, but it’s worth checking out if you have a Target nearby. Be sure to check in occasionally over the coming weeks when they up the savings to 50% off or higher. Also be sure to scan clearance items, because they may even have outdated labels and are cheaper than advertised! Happy hunting!

How To Get A White Boba Fett At San Diego Comic Con, Celebration V

Want one? Going to SDCC or CV? Well, I just got passed some details on LEGO’s plans to distribute a limited supply of the highly coveted White Boba Fett figure at San Diego Comic Con and at Star Wars Celebration V.

San Diego Comic Con: LEGO is working with the 501st Legion to help distribute the figures. These will not be available at LEGO’s booth. Supplies are limited. No further details yet. It may involve participating in their popular Droid Hunt activity they seem to do at every convention where they have a presence. If I get anymore info, I’ll post here.

Star Wars Celebration V: Those participating in the community mural build will be awarded a White Boba Fett figure for their efforts. Again, supplies are limited. More details to come.
