You can now order 7660 Naboo N-1 Starfighter with Vulture Droid, 7661 Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring, and 7662 Trade Federation MTT directly from LEGO Shop@Home. Ordering all three will set you back $180 bucks before tax and shipping. My bank account all of a sudden feels a lot emptier.

Just a quick note before I get on the road to get to Carlsbad. Star Wars Weekend starts today and there is a variety of activities going on at the park all weekend. Last I checked, there’s going to be a Droid hunt hosted by the 501st; you’ll be able to play LEGO Star Wars II on the big screen at the theater; I’ll be setting up the mosaic that was at CIV along with Gary; there will be a bunch of MOC’s on display; a DUPLO promo brick will be given to park goers; kids (and maybe adults too) can participate in a costume contest and if you know me I LOVE costumes, so that’s something I’m looking forward to (on a side note: many years ago I went to LEGOLand during Halloween weekend, and there was a costume contest for the kids. One kid showed up wearing a purple body suit and had purple balloons stuck to him all over. He went as Grapes. That one had me cracking up). So come on down if you’re in the area. If you do go, make sure to stop by and say hello. I’ll be debuting my new business cards I had whipped up for FBTB.net. I’ll be posting updates when I can throughout the weekend. Hope to see you there.
I was browsing through our forums, reading a post from a member about some stuff he was selling and decided to do a quick Google search for LEGO 7258. Yes, I realize I could have gone to the site index and look it up there, but didn’t for whatever reason. Anyways, the first hit is the page from LEGO Shop@Home, and they have, as the default image for the set, this alternate model image:
Now THAT would have been a better set than what you actually build.
Sneaking in under most everyone’s radar is a set of three LEGO Star Wars Keychains. But these aren’t minifigs; they’re ships! It’s a trap! Whoops, got carried away there… Hit the link that will take you to the pre-order page at Starwarsshop.com. Item is slated to ship in November.
June 23 and 24 is Star Wars Weekend over at LEGOLand, CA. If you’re interested
in displaying your Star Wars-themed MOC’s, we’d love to have it. I realize this
is the same weekend as Brickworld, but with any luck there’ll be some of you
who’ll want to participate at the LEGOLand event. We’ll have the big mural that
was at the Star Wars Celebration on display as well as Jared’s custom
minifigures, Todd Kubo’s mini scale blockade runner, a super large scale
speederbike modeled after the 1999 set model made by Jon Palmer and Dan Parker,
and hopefully some other goodies. Shoot me an email at no_onions AT yahoo DAWT com if you’re interested in participating and we can work out the details.
The latest LEGO magazine (May-June 2007 issue) has a full page ad of possibly the best promotion ever. 5 lucky people will be the proud owners of a 14 karat solid gold C-3PO minifig. Here’s the excerpt taken from the ad:

There’s some legal jargon which I’m not going to re-type; though if you’re the type to want to know that stuff, I’m sure you can contact LEGO directly for all the legalese. It does not say it’s open to U.S. residents only, so I’m thinking it’s open to everyone on Earth.
