This is sure to displease anyone that picked them direct from LEGOLand, but the Chrome 10th Anniversary Stormtrooper Magnet is now available direct from LEGO Shop at Home – for only $9.99! That’s quite a deal for a shiny limited edition minifigure, considering how much Vader and 3PO are worth.

I got another email with some more May 4th goodies. Right now, you can order 10179 Ultimate Collector’s Millennium Falcon at a discount of 25% off, $374.99.
The email also states:
Plus, on May 3rd and 4th only, be entered in a chance to win a first-edition Ultimate Collector’s Millennium Falcon™
But there’s no other information as to how. This may be a LEGO retail brand store effort. The first-edition UCS Falcon came with a special first-run certificate that was only available during the first production run of the set.
Update: I got yet another email with more details:
Place an order through LEGOshop.com on May 3rd or May 4th and you will receive an exclusive LEGO® Star Wars™ poster, each individually numbered up to 15,000, celebrating the LEGO Star Wars 10th Anniversary and featuring over 160 minifigures that have appeared in a LEGO Star Wars set in the last 10 years. You will also automatically be entered to win a first-edition LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector’s Millennium Falcon™ – number 5, 6 or 7.*!

I got some early details for the special offer from LEGO S@H regarding the minifig poster:
“Celebrate 10 years of LEGO® Star Wars™ with the LEGO Shop! Get a FREE limited edition poster with purchase on LEGOshop.com on May 3rd and 4th only, while supplies last. Each individually numbered poster features over 160 LEGO Star Wars minifigures based on costume from the last 10 years. Go to LEGOshop.com at 12:01 am EST on May 3rd to find out more details and for another special announcement!
The Good: there’s no minimum purchase. The Bad: it’s only through Shop@Home and won’t be available through their brand stores. But something else may be available once they reveal the details of their other announcement. And The Ugly: the poster will be shipped to you folded. Unfortunately, that was the only way they were able to offer the poster in order to keep costs down and keep logistical details to a minimum.
LEGO Star Wars isn’t the only game in town celebrating it’s 10th Anniversary. FBTB was born the same year the LEGO Star Wars products hit the streets. We’ve had a couple of rough spots over the course of our history, but I can say with confidence that the current state of affairs ever since the relaunch, which I affectionately refer to as FBTB 3.0, has never been better. Part of that is due to the awesome staff I have working with me on the site. And a HUGE part of that is our community. In order to celebrate, I’ve cooked up a very special giveaway as a way of saying thanks.
It looks like you will be able to get a special poster of all the LEGO Star Wars minifigs made. No details yet on how exactly you can get the poster, but here’s a thumbnail teaser:
You can go to May the Force be with You™! Celebrate 10 Years of LEGO® Star Wars™ to check out their promotion page.
I waited a little bit for confirmation on this, but apparently the Toys’R'Us brick and mortar stores in Austria and Germany are giving away a free 10th Anniversary Chrome Darth Vader with any purchase of €25. You can also just straight out buy one for €4,99 with no purchase limit. Bricklink is already flooded with them.
From the hundreds of entries, many were disqualified, but only one would rise up to be called the big weiner. Congratulations go to…

Your Chrome Vader will be on its way shortly.
I was a little late in announcing the winner. I should have done this yesterday. If you weren’t lucky enough to win, maybe you can earn yours through our Podracer contest. And since it is March, I’ll be posting another giveaway in the next few days. On a sidenote, it amazes me how many entries I had to disqualify due to the person not including their mailing address. And in some cases, some other vital piece of information, like their city, or zip code. I know I sound like a broken record, but come on peoples, it’s not that hard. And I had posted a warning/reminder in the contest announcement too. I should offer a bonus prize for the next giveaway, that if everyone follows the submission requirements, I’ll randomly pick a second prize winner. Hmmmm, I just might do that….
