Star Tours at Disneyland, CA Dated

The official Disneyland blog posted an article yesterday outlining opening dates for some new attractions. Star Tours has now been given an opening date of June 3rd for Disneyland. The attraction at Disneyworld in Florida opens May 20th. Excited? I know I am.

I don't think I'll be making either of openings but I might know where we are going to take a family vacation when I get back next year from my sabbatical in the Himalayas.

We've got a family vacation planned in Disney World this spring, and as luck would have it, May 20 is our arrival date! Hopefully I can ride it enough times in one week to see all 10 destinations. All I can say is it had better open on schedule. . .

So what's new in these grand openings? I remember hearing a while back about how they were closing Star Tours down and it made me sad, but I guess that was just for a complete overhaul of the ride, huh? Exciting! So where are we being taken this time? I imagine somewhere other than the interior of a comet and the Death Star?
