I just saw the last of the twilights disappear, last seen at 79.99 on clearance, during the bogo 50% off sale. Funny thing is Lego direct had them for $50 and they couldn't move them completely. It does have an impressive piece count and selection.

Wow... just pulled that up on brickset.com... that is... ugly! It's kind of like the Clone Turbo Tank... I just don't get the appeal. And I'm like super-obsessive compulsive about collecting these things now so LEGO really missed the mark.

Make that same set - Twilight - in all black with a splash of grey and you might have a better seller.

Yes - it works in-store. I just got back. Luckily there were 2 speeders on the rack, I grabbed them both, took them to the counter and split my order (2 different sets) and had them ring up the speeders as well. They come up as "PROMO" - $0.

It's a good thing I found the two on the shelf because I got a blank stare from the cashier when I asked if she had any behind the counter!

It's true this thing is ugly as sin but it has a cavernous body that can be customized to just about any interior you want. For me it turned out to be a really cool ship and probably needs to be listed in the forum about sets that are better than they first appeared.

I live within 15 miles of 20 Different TRU stores and almost everyone of them has a huge pile of Twilight Sets. There are so many I could probably build a life size model of the twilight if I bought them all.

can't blame lego for the design as they are merely recreating a model that lucasfilm originally made.

personally, i kinda like the look of it. not every ship in the galaxy can look like a sports car. there's bound to be some jalopies.
