Any other oldbies out there remember that German kid Kris who was a member here? Think he got banned, but dude was OBSESSED with Star Tours. Like, to the point of no return. It was crazy.

It was Kris van de Sande, and he was a Belgian guy. Indeed, obsessed with Star Tours (through the roof and beyond), and these days one of the pro-active people of the Belgian Star Wars fanclub:

Well, all good things must come to an end. I visited the place in June of last year and it did feel a bit behind the times. Before that, I had been to Disney World for the Millennium Celebration in 2000; they were still riding out the wave of moichendizing from TPM. Not that any 7-year-old would have known (or cared).
But from what I'm hearing about Star Tours 2, it's a good thing to be replacing.

So glad I finally got to visit it before it closed down. I'm 30 and had never been to Disneyland before this year...whew.

I didn't even realize that it was still open, thought it closed a couple of years ago. I think I was five or six last time I was on it.

Neat. The AC pilot is referred to as "Ace," too. Hehehe.

I remember going on the Star Tours ride twice when I was very little, and though I don't remember much of it, I remember it being such a thrill because it was like having Star Wars in real life. Hopefully this new ride lives up to everyone's high esteem for the old ride--I think the new idea has potential to be fun.
