Last year we got Chrome Vaders, this year we get Silver Stormies.. I guess it's a good thing since we don't get those 50% off promotions like you guys across the Atlantic get :)

I've just heard from a friend in Spain and he says that the baggied chrome Stormtrooper magnet is free when you spend over €30 on LEGO Star Wars in Toys "R" Us. So far the offer has only been spotted in Spain.

Is there any difference between the PolyBag Trooper and the other one?

I guess next week in the USA, TRU is doing the promotion spend $11.99 on LEGO and get a Chrome Storm Trooper. This is according to a TRU employee that has already seen the ad, but I have still yet to see it. This is great for me because I never got the magnet!

The magnet is cheap plastic, this one isn't, as far as I could understand (I have it here inside the polybag).

Only 11.99$?!? In Portugal we must spend over 30€.. that's as much as ~45$!

Yeah! The difference in prices between Europe and the US has always stunned me.
Diaaabo, everything is, sadly for us, much cheaper over there.

Talking about the Chrome Stormtrooper, I'd exchange one (or a Chrome Vader) for a white Boba Fett if anybody is interested. I'm afraid I won't be able to grab one of those Fett's offers here in Portugal :'(

the ad is now up on the US version of the TRU website. dane, your TRU source is correct. spend 11.99 on SW or more, get the free chromie. and the 2010 battle packs are listed at 11.99, so i guess that means any SW set. i can't think of any one cheaper than the battle packs.

You can also order them from TRU online for 2.99 each (Much cheaper than the magnet one). They are in stock as of now.

Of course who knows if this is a mistake or not. They may just cancel the orders.
