Iron Man 2

It's like the old BCS, except the 2.0 makes it fancy. Wondering why you can't post here? Check out the rules and expectations, and it all should be made clear...

Well, here in America this movie has already been over-hyped to the max, so there wasn't much left to talk about. Between the ads every commercial break, the Dr. Pepper/Iron Man cross-promotional ads, and the "special sneak peaks" (basically just extended ads), I'm pretty much Iron Maned out until I see the actual movie.

Since the theatres are bound to be packed this weekend, I'll probably wait a week or two so I can see the movie in relative peace without having to be crammed in with a bunch of smelly movie-goers. This is my usual routine. If you go during the week during the day, not only do you typically get most of the theatre to yourself, but you only pay the lowered matinee price and you know what: the movie isn't any worse because of it. If anything, it's better. Paying $9-11 dollars for a movie when you could be paying $6 is just foolish, and after watching only two movies, you've pretty much earned a "free" movie. Anyone who goes at night during the weekends is a sucker, plain and simple.

Plus, the workers are friendlier since we're not dealing with a line of people out the door. Also go on Tuesdays, most theatres give deals on concessions or tickets.

As far as Iron Man goes, I didn't care for the first, not terribly excited for the second (though it looks vastly superior), and annoyed by the promotions (though that's the case with most movies\tv shows\restaurants\whatever).

Just got back from seeing it, and was blown away by... Just about everything. There was a lot of nerd candy... Er... Is that what it's called? Dunno. Anyway, I noticed a few nods to different things during the film, but I don't want to spoil anything... I will say, as I don't think it spoils anything, that I believe there was a Pulp Fiction reference to look out for... There were also a lot of humorous moments as well. I'd say a lot more than there were in the first, not just with the dialogue, but actual, physical moments. And there were a lot of things that were just downright pee-your-pants awesome... But that actually might be the large Coke I drank talking... :x

I made the same mistake.

I was literally standing in the aisle doing the pee-pee dance waiting for the credits to end. Had I known there were nearly 12 minutes worth, I'd have gone and come back.
