Have you watched the Nintendo Direct video of Tears of the Kingdom gameplay? If you haven’t watched it yet, you should do that now. And if you have, it’s worth watching again. I’ll embed it here:

It looks absolutely bonkers, in a good way. I can’t wait to try a meat arrow fused with a leaf.

Tears of the Kingdom is not only notable for being the sequel to one of the greatest Legend of Zelda games of all time, but it also mark the first $70 dollar Nintendo Switch game ($69.99 to be exact) that isn’t some fancy special edition. But you can save $30 dollars off that price with two steps.

Step 1: Right nw, Costco is offering an additional $10 in-store discount off a four-pack of $25 dollar gift cards to the Nintendo eShop. They are normally $89.99 but this week only they are offering that additional discount in-store bringing the total down to $79.99. Getting $100 in eShop credit for just $80 is an automatic 20% discount on all your eShop purchases.

Step 2: Nintendo Switch Online subscribers can purchase two game vouchers for for $99.98. You can use a game voucher to redeem a full-priced digital title. The eligible game list is pretty extensive, and featured right at the top of that list is The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

This is probably the best deal to get this game. The only challenge is if you don’t live near a Costco. Even if you can’t do Step 1, the game vouchers are still a great deal (assuming you’re a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber, and if you’re not what exactly are you doing with your life?) netting you a $20 discount for Tears of the Kingdom, and a $10 discount for most other games.  Me personally, I’m eyeing Advance Wars 1+2: Reboot Camp for my other voucher.

Side note: PlayStation and Xbox game cards are also on sale for the same discount: $100 worth of cards for $79.99. I need to re-up my PS Plus sub soon so this deal is coming at the perfect time.
