[CAN] TRU Bricktober Deals – Week 2

9474 The Battle Of Helms Deep

Toys R Us CANADA’s second week of Bricktober sees a 20% discount on all Lord Of The Rings, Technic and Dino sets so now would be the time to pick up these sets if you’re looking to hit the $75 treshold and score the second Vintage Minifigure Collection. The freebie at this weeks $35 mark? The Monster Fighters Ghost Polybag that I heard was a Target exclusive. Guess not. Keep in mind these offers stack, but get there quick if you want them.

This would be the perfect time to get that Triceratops to complete the “Dinosaurs on a Spaceship” vignette you’ve been working on…

[CAN] TRU Brictober Deals – Week 1

10215 Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter - 9

I should have posted this on Friday, but better late than never. With just two months or so left to shop for the holidays, Bricktober touches down at TRU Canada with some “giveaways” that’ll cost you a pretty penny. As Ace reported earlier, each week you’ll be able to get one of the Vintage Minifigure Collections seen below when you spend $75 on LEGO. Making that relatively easy they’ve discounted both the 10215 Obi-wan’s Jedi Starfighter and the exclusive 7848 Toys ‘R’ Us Truck by 50%. Spend $35 and you can get a free 30152 Mining Quad polybag. I’m not sure if these offers stack, so I’ll go check it out in the name of “research”.

TRU Bricktober Promotions

Add 25% off all LEGO board games and a free Creationary booster pack with any LBG purchase and the month is off to a pretty good start.

Update: The offers do stack, so if you’re into the vintage look or mining, giggity.

[CAN] TRU 1/2 Price Event!

Atlantis is at the end of it’s run and Toys’R’Us Canada is clearing out the largest set of the theme at half off. As a big fan of Atlantis I really enjoyed the 8078 Portal Of Atlantis set I think it’s a no brainer at $64.97. You can also score either the 8083 Rebel Trooper or 8084 Snowtrooper Battle Packs at $7.47.

At the time of this post the three sets are out of stock online, but I have little doubt you’d have trouble finding them in store if the pile I saw at my local TRU is any indication. There’s also a 25% off deal on all LEGO lights, 20% off all Pirates Of The Caribbean sets and a FREE LEGO Ninjago 3D Battle Arena with spinner with any $50 Ninjago purchase.

[CAN] TRU’s Moonlight Madness Sale & More LEGO Deals

Starting tonight November 18th at 7pm local time, Canadian Toys R Us stores are offering the World Racers set 8899 Gator Swamp for $27.47, that’s 50% off! Wait, was World Racers even a theme? That doesn’t sound right to me. They’re also offering 25% off of all Atlantis & Kingdoms and select Cars sets. There’s 20% off most Harry Potter and All Spongebob Squarepants & Creator sets. You’re better off checking out the brick and mortar for the best selection on these and a couple other deals.

Seriously though, was World Racers a real thing?

[CAN] TRU Toy Book Stuffed With LEGO Deals

This year’s Toys R Us Canada Toy Book runs from November 4th – 17th and has so many random LEGO deals, I’m not sure where to start. First up, they’re offering $10 – $20 off of these Star Wars & PotC sets:

There’s 20% off all LEGO electronics including the Star Wars alarm clocks and this R2-D2 USB flash Drive FREE with any LEGO Star Wars purchase over $50.

You can also enjoy 25% off all LEGO Cars sets an all LEGO board games. There’s 20% off all Ninjago and City sets, plus a host of other odd discounts. The cherry on the cake is any LEGO purchase gets you a card for $10 off of your next $50 worth of brick. Spend $75 and you’ll get a free LEGO watch, at $25 each it’s a good deal if you know someone who’d wear it.

[CAN] TRU Ends Bricktober With Free Potter Lab Set

Toys R Us Canada is capping off Bricktober by giving away a FREE 30111 Harry Potter ‘The Lab’ when you spend $35 or more on LEGO. To help make this an easy task for you, they’re offering 2 for $40 on all $24.99 sets & 2 for $60 on all $39.99 sets. I would suggest you head into a store to score your freebie set because it’s temporarily out of stock online (Sorry folks! I would’ve posted this on Friday when the sale started, but I was busy), but that may work to your advantage. Every week I went into the store they had leftover magnets from all the previous weeks, so you may get lucky. Last year, my local store was out of each weeks magnets by the end of the weekend. I wonder why this year’s were so unpopular.

[CAN] Toys R Us Bricktober Week 4 Giveaways

The second to last week of Bricktober is here and if you’ve visited the site or seen this post in the forums it may have seemed like this year’s Bricktober is a bit lackluster to say the least. Luckily Toys R Us Canada doesn’t seem to have their act together and if you frequent the website that should come as no surprise. I could make some point about knowing the future changing the outcome of events, but I won’t because I just did. This weeks deals are better than previously advertized with all Star Wars & both SpongeBob Squarepants sets at a 20% discount which also applies to the Creator & Hero Factory themes. This is a great way to pick up the 10216 Winter Bakery set at $60 or the 10214 Tower Bridge for $240. Spend the usual $35 and you’ll walk away with MY personal favourite of this year’s magnet assortment, the astronaut.

In preparation for Halloween this Saturday between 12pm & 2pm they’ll be hosting the latest seasonal build event, so bring the kiddies and let them build themselves a creepy crawly spider*, but get there early as they’re limited to 100 per store. I attended last years event and my son really loved the jack ‘o’ lantern and I’m hoping he’ll be equally impressed with this years offering.

* Spider not actually creepy or crawly.

[Can] Toys R Us Bricktober Week Two Giveaways

The second week of Toys R Us Canada’s Bricktober celebration sees a really nice 30% discount on all Cars LEGO, which is a vast improvement to the stingy four Star Wars sets they discounted last week. You can also get 20% off on all Ninjago & Technic sets and the now standard $5 off ALL (POTC included for once) non-clearence LEGO videogames.

In addition to the free LEGO Forestman Magnet *cough*glued*cough* with a $35 purchase, if you spend that amount on one of the three sale themes you’ll also recieve the 30042 Atlantis Mini Sub gratis. Still not the greatest deals thus far this year though they are improving and the freebie double up is pretty sweet. I`m keeping my fingers crossed for an end of the month BOGO50%off.

[Can] Toys R Us Bricktober Week One Giveaways

Toys R Us Canada is offering a slightly sweeter deal than their American counterpart for the first week of Bricktober. In addition to the LEGO Ninja Minifigure Magnet they’re offering with a much more reasonable $35 purchase, you can also get the 30051 Republic Attack Shuttle mini set if you spend that dough on Star Wars LEGO. I was disappointed to find out that this years minfigure magnets would be glued (though not surprised), but I must admit this has made week one a done deal for me. The magnets are limited to 200 per store (max) and the shuttle deal is based on stock, so if you’ve had your eye on a certain $35+ Star Wars set get it quick and double up on freebies.

[Can] Toys R Us Star Wars Sale Starts Today

Toys R Us Canada has finally extended its month long 20% off sales to the Star Wars line. Unfortunately it only covers a few specific sets, though there is at least one stand out in the crowd.

These selections are in addition to the 20% discount on Cars (ends Sept 28th) and Pirates of the Caribbean (ends Sept 22nd).

They’re still offering $5 off all LEGO Video Games excluding POTC and have dropped all Star Wars: Clone Wars DVD’s by 20%. Not a bad warm up for the coming Bricktober.
