Blockade Runner Virtual Build

10019 Rebel Blockade Runner Virtual Build

When I saw Mofo Jones’ post in this thread this morning regarding the status of the 10198 Tantive IV set it reminded me of something I saw last week. The Creative Brick Company has been busy playing in the virtual world of LEGO and have put together a fantastic video build of 10019 UCS Rebel Blockade Runner. You can view the video at this link and if you visit their site you’ll also find some virtual Architecture set builds. Watch at your own risk as seeing this vid flow through such an awesome set left me feeling disappointed at missing it.

10212 Imperial Shuttle Drops to $182, 10198 for $117

10212 Imperial Shuttle - 2

Amazon seems to be clearing out some inventory to make room for new stuff. Two price drops you should be aware of: first up is the UCS 10212 Imperial Shuttle for $182, down from $269.99. This is the best price we’ve seen on this set, even better than the Gold Box deal from a few weeks ago. They also have 10198 Tantive IV for $116.99, down from $149.99, a 22% discount. And finally, for LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean fans, 4183 The Mill is more than half off, $17.99, down from $39.99, a 55% discount.

Shop@Home Now Offering FREE Star Wars Magnet Sets

LEGO S@H is trying to sweeten the deal for September by offering some free swag with some of their higher end Star Wars Sets.

With 50 bonus VIP points and FREE shipping on any or all of these sets (big spender), maybe it’s enough to push you over the edge. Or were you planning on waiting with your fingers crossed hoping for double VIP points in October, but possibly missing out on the FREE shipping? Tick Tock.

Tantive IV Discounted On Amazon has discounted 10198 Tantive IV down to $129 (MSRP $149.99). With no tax to most states and free shipping, this is one of the better deals you’ll find on this set. Granted, it’s nothing like the BOGO deal they had during the last holidays, but better than no discount.

Tantive IV Pursued

Tantive IV

I really couldn’t think of an appropriate title for this post. The above photo was taken by flickr-user Blockaderunner. Other than a little photoshop work to remove the stands, everything else was set up and shot just the way you see it. Simply astounding.

TRU BOGO 50% 4 Day Sale

TRU Sale

TRU online and in store is having a BOGO 50% off sale for the next 4 days, June 15 through June 18. Free shipping applies to orders $100 or more. Also, there’s an in-store offer of a free LEGO Creator 30022 MINI Lighthouse set with your LEGO purchase of $30 or more.

The ad, shown above, has an asterisk next to the text so some restrictions may apply, but it is not detailed on the online version of the ad. So far, the BOGO discount applies to LEGO Star Wars items as well. Just be aware of the TRU’s markup over MSRP as that will cut into any potential savings. Still, aside from the Death Star Set, the rest of the big guns are showing up as in stock such as 10215 Obi-wan’s Jedi Starfighter, 10198 Tantive IV, and 10212 Imperial Shuttle.

It’s a shame we’re no longer part of their affiliate program.

FBTB Charity Drive Final Tally, Raffle Winners

I’m extremely happy to report the final donation numbers to the FBTB Charity Drive. In total, we’ve received 1,195 donations. Like last year, FBTB will cover the fees that Paypal ding’s each donation, so I’ll be making a final contribution of $2,390 to Child’s Play.

Now, before I announce the raffle winners, I just want thank everyone again who donated $2, $10, $100, or whatever amount you donated. Every dollar counts and will go a long way to help children in need. Being a new(ish) father myself, my perspective on life has changed a lot. I can’t imagine what parents must be going through when their child is sick and hospitalized. Gift shopping is probably the last thing on their minds, and this is where Child’s Play steps up to the plate, by providing gifts to those sick kids. The holidays is all about giving, and your collective generosity means a lot. Thank you.

So, with all that being said, let’s reveal the winners!
