  • Canadian Toy & Hobby Fair

Big thanks for all the tips and forum members who brought this to our attention, and or putting up with the wait until we posted it.
CTV’s coverage of the Canadian Toy & Hobby Fair by Kris Abel featured many upcoming sets from several Lego lines, including our beloved Star Wars.

Notable among the photos is the public reveal of the first official Lego TaunTaun! Fanboys rejoice! Talk about it here on the forums.

And as Mike posted earlier, stay tuned in the coming weeks for FBTB’s coverage of Toy Fair in New York!

  • 6206 TIE Interceptor

I got an email from Toys R Us regarding clearances, and glancing in the Lego section revealed 6206 Vader’s TIE Fighter (MSRP $20) on sale for $3.98!!! Even better, if you order $100 more online, you get another 10% off!

UPDATE: The TIE Interceptor seems to be sold out now!

  • Zombies Ahead!

    You’ve been warned!

  • Chrome Gold C-3PO Winner Announced

Out of all the eligible entries, the random number generator picked the winning number. Congratulations to Michael Higdon of Fort Worth, TX for being the big weiner! Your Chrome Gold C-3PO in a bag will be on its way.

To everyone else who didn’t win, fret none as February 1st will bring another awesome giveaway. And please make sure you read the entry guidelines. I had to toss out a fair number of entries due to missing information like the zip code. Some didn’t even include a mailing address.

  • Attention Citizens!

Over the last 5 hours, an outbreak of Zombies spread quickly throughout the forum, but was briefly subdued by brave survivors. Soon however, the survivors themselves succumbed to the moaning onslaught of ghouls and joined the ranks of the undead. Some survivors now remain holed up in a Fortress of defense.

How will it all end? Will the survivors take back the forums? And what happens to the Zombies who have been destroyed?

(To play, read the rules carefully, and please remember the action is all taking place in the Bantha Coffee Shop, the Fortress, and the rules thread *only*. We don’t want to disturb the members who would rather not get involved.

  • TBB and FBTB RTB. Do You?

People always wonder why we have the long-standing “Respect the Brick” policy here at FBTB. The Brothers Brick‘s recent post expertly outlines the side effects of what happens when leaked images of upcoming Lego sets hit the web.

I’d like to take this opportunity to say that although there has been talk here about the modifying or complete removal of the RTB policy in the New FBTB, we will *never* condone the posting of confidential information or images on this site.

And just why are those leaked pics so blurry anyways? The very first issue of Well Played from several months ago might hold the answer…

  • What Do You Want?

Here on the forum we’ve started a discussion asking you what you want to see on the new FBTB. With enough good suggestions (and assuming we’re not already using some of them!) we’ll run a poll on the main page to see what our site visitors truly want most from the new website!

  • The Forums

I forgot that the New Years wipe of the main page meant the post was lost about the forum being closed to registrations *again*. I again apologize for the inconvenience, we still haven’t quite got the handle on the Spam problem. It’s as frustrating for us as it is for you who are trying to join, and I’m very sorry for that.

Please bear with us. We’ll let you know as soon as we open it back up again!

  • Please Excuse Our Mess

We’re attempting to repair the main page. Please bear with us.

Poll’s been fixed and updated. Cast away.
