Tomorrow is Tuesday, otherwise known as new media day, a day when you can get the newest games, movie, and tv releases. Tomorrow also happens to be the day that LEGO Marvel’s Avengers comes out for all major gaming systems. Today, however, is the last day you can place your pre-order over at GameStop and get the Iron Man Silver Centurion bonus minifigure pictured above. It is included free with your purchase for the game. It is only valid with physical copies of the game; digital downloads and season passes do not qualify.

Teaser for LEGO Marvel’s Avengers
Am I the only one that thinks the title for LEGO Marvel’s Avengers seems a bit odd? It’s that apostrophe s that’s making it weird for me. Oh well.
With E3 right around the corner, news for LEGO games should be forthcoming. Like this trailer. WB Interactive and TT Games released the above trailer for the upcoming LEGO Marvel’s Avengers video set to be released for all major consoles later this year. There’s not a whole lot of details yet. If I were a betting man though, I’d guess you can play through both Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron movies in one game. They will probably also feature their local co-op play because they don’t believe online co-op is a thing, a thousand unlockable minifigs, a score of vehicles, and much more. Okay, I’m kidding about the last two points.
GameStop listings has a date of 12/31/15 but no doubt that is simply a placeholder date until a firm one is released by the publisher. Also, if you pre-order from GameStop you’ll get the below pictured Silver Centurion Iron Man minifigure as a bonus.

Iron Man Silver Centurion Minifig Discovered as GameStop LEGO Avengers Pre-order Bonus
Eurobricks forum member strangely who is probably Matt Rickerd on flickr posted the above picture taken at his local GameStop. It’s an Iron Man Silver Centurion minifig! Armor that goes over the minifig! Printed tile! Side leg printing! I’m fairly certain that the side leg printing is new. He will be included as a pre-order bonus for the upcoming LEGO Marvel’s Avengers game through GameStop.
See, now this is what a promo should be: a minifigure that would be difficult to include in a normal set. And given how many armor suits Tony Stark is up to, there is a ton of options to pick from and turn into a promo fig. This is way, way better than offering an Iron Patriot figure which could have easily been included into a set given the role the suit made in Iron Man 3.
Now all LEGO and Marvel need to do is agree to release a CMF box of just Iron Man suits. And then move on to a Marvel Universe CMF series.

IM3 “Unlock The Armors” Suits Fully Revealed
I’m just finally getting around to updating the post on the “Unlock The Armor” game from Facebook. While there were disappointingly only two more suits, the interesting part is the images of the full armours head to toe that were also revealed. This is the best look we’ve seen of some of these suits and should help builders and customizers alike. I’d hoped to get a good look at the arms of the “Red Snapper” and was amused and delighted at the different design. It’s nice to see Tony is working towards having a suit for any occasion as he has in the comics for years. His on screen OCD is finally showing.

If you want to see the four sets of armour, hit the jump.

Legohaulic’s “Brute” Strength
LEGO isn’t waiting until the highly anticipated Iron Man 3 hits theaters on May 3rd to release it’s sets based on the property and the fans aren’t waiting to build either. Legohaulic built this version of what many are calling the “Hulkbuster” armour as a commission and the overall shape of the body is great. Seeing it in the trailer bust through the shipping containers in a full tilt dash reminded me much more of Marvel’s unstoppable Juggernaut. The only info attached to the original concept art where it appeared in the standard red and gold described it as “Brute” armour and that certainly fits. Its chunky design, hunched back and forearm hazard stripes (not included on the model, but that would have been impressive to pull off in purist form) indicate this guy was built less for busting monsters and more for Tony’s heavy lifting. I expect to see a great many suits pop up when the movie comes out and everyone has had a good look, but the early bird gets the worm.
With suits of armour in the trailer resembling the Stealth, Deep Space, Silver Centurion and other classic looks, which would you most like to see in LEGO form? Brick-built or minifig? I’m still down for Iron Patriot, but I’d take a Silver Centurion any way you build it as well…
