Target has slashed the price of 6866 Wolverine’s Chopper Showdown by 36% off of $19.99 MSRP. The set is now a mere $12.80. And not to sound like a broken record, but if you have a REDCard, you’ll save an additional 5% off on top of the already reduced prices and get free shipping. This set comes with Wolverine, Deadpool, and Magneto and a pretty nice helicopter model.

This set sold out the last time we reported on it a few months ago, but now Amazon.com has restocked 6866 Wolverine Chopper Showdown and restocked it at the sale price from last time. It’s listed at $16.14, 19% discount. The set comes with minifigs of Wolverine, Deadpool, and Magneto. Free Super Saver Shipping kicks in if your order hits $25 or more, no minimum if you have Prime.
Naturally, Walmart is selling the same set at the same price, though I’m pretty sure Walmart pulled the trigger first.

I think I’m safe in saying that behind Spider-man the X-men have been Marvel’s most popular (and profitable) property over time, so it was no surprise that the only other non-Avengers set was X-centric. With a multitude of X-titles to choose from and nearly a hundred different characters who’ve been part of the core X-team alone at one time or another, it must have been really difficult to choose who would headline this set…

With too much anticipation the new LEGO Marvel sets are now available at shop.lego.com. Not all of the sets are available as of this post, most notably the Spider-man set and action figures (we’ll update as they become available). But, I ask, who is going to rush over to LEGO Shop and order these right now? No one. You’d be a madman (or madwoman) if you did. Not when you can wait 5 weeks and get a free Hulk minifigure. You have patience, right? It’s not difficult when you know that patience will pay off, especially in the form of a tiny Hulk with purple pants.

Target.com is the latest to offer the LEGO Marvel sets for pre-order and this apears to be further confirmation of the April 8th release date. I’d love to know the logic in waiting to release these sets ON EASTER instead of taking advantage of the holiday to boost sales. It seems the brick bunny will be bring these sets to only a small percentage of quick/lucky folks and the rest of us will simply have to wait. ONE. MORE. WEEK.

Walmart.com is once again the early bird and has the full assortment of Marvel sets available to purchase online now. Taking into account the speed the DC sets sold out in some locations and the hype surrounding the upcoming Avengers movie, you may want to grab the sets you want when you can get them. I have a feeling the upcoming Easter holiday will wipe out these sets quickly.

The Marvel Super Heroes sets have just finished uploading. Unfortunately, due to time and space constraints, we were not able to take as many quality pictures as we wanted. Hopefully, you will still be able to glean some tasty eye candy from them.
