I have some process that is causing high resource utilization on my server’s machine. It’s no secret that I’ve been doing what I can to reduce the resource consumption by removing certain features here and there and offloading what I can to external processes. But I’ve had little luck in determining what is causing MySQL to stay running at a constant 2% usage. So, my last ditch effort will involve reinstalling WordPress and phpbb from scratch with default templates to see if I can pinpoint the trouble as one of my mods or plugins. The site will be going into fugly mode for a little while while I work on this. Please bear with me during these times. I’m going to start this process of pain starting tomorrow night. Interviews and build challenges for the positions (I’m told there are 6 slots they’re looking to fill) are June 24th and 25th. Instead of a nationwide search and competition, they seem to be going for a more low-key hiring process this time around.
Longtime FBTB fans might remember I applied for a model builder position at Legoland back in 2006. Those same fans might also remember how sad I was when I didn’t make it past the first round. Did it deter me? Nope! I’m going to give it another shot!
