I somehow missed this with all of the announcements for The Freemaker Adventures and terrible Hoth sets, but LEGO and Disney are teaming up to give us some prequels for The Force Awakens. Called “The Resistance Rises,” these are a very tongue-in-cheek look at The Force Awakens in a very LEGO style. Also, it’s there to taunt everyone with a Chrome C3PO. I actually quite like little bits like this keeping Star Wars from getting too “serious” about everything.
Seriously, the whole thing is worth watching just for the disguise joke. I can only hope that this humor and fun translates to the LEGO Star Wars game coming out in a few months.
