RC Clone Turbo Tank By Max Yang

Max Yang over at MocPages built this remote-control Clone Turbo Tank with working lights even. If you can sit through this 13 minute video, it’ll show some of the features and functions of the tank.

I don’t know, maybe it’s just me but I would have expected a CTT to move a lot faster than that, given it has the word “Turbo” in the name.

MOC Spotlight: Massassi Temple

Holy cow. Check out legoagogo’s gorgeous, damn-near-perfect recreation of the medal ceremony at the end of A New Hope:

Yavin 4's Massassi Temple

There’s more amazing Lego scenes and beautiful photography, including a healthy Star Wars set. Here’s one of my favorites:

DK Publishing’s LEGO Star Wars Character Encyclopedia

Character Encyclopedia

Got some news in email today, and among them there was a link to this page on StarWars.com showcasing some of DK Publishing’s newest books slated for release sometime in 2011. The most interesting book was the Character Encyclopedia which is a visual compendium of every LEGO Star Wars minifigure to date. And, like the Visual Dictionary, it will come with an exclusive minifigure. Hopefully, it will be a medal ceremony Han Solo to complement the Luke figure.

8803 Minifigures Series 3 Now Available Through Shop@Home

Well, it’s first Monday of the new year, and I guess that means it’s back to work. If you weren’t lucky enough to come across these at Toys’R’Us or at Walmart, you can now order Minifigures Series 3 directly from LEGO Shop@Home for $2.99 each. There’s a limit of 16 per customer and there’s no guarantee you’ll get a full set with your 16. But hey, that’s what trading’s for. Good luck!

New Years Day B2G1F @ Toys R Us

Toys R Us

For what it’s worth, Toys R Us is offering a Buy 2 Get 1 Free on all LEGO (excluding Star Wars and Pharaoh’s Quest) today only. This is good in-stores and online.

You can also still get the free LEGO backpack with an order of $30 or more, and get free shipping online with an order of $100 or more.

Thanks BrickUpdate for posting about this in the forum last night. Hopefully some can take advantage of the deal, though with the two hot sellers excluded and a lot of sets still sold out from the holidays, it’ll be hard.
