LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary Release Party

If you still haven’t picked up or ordered the book by now and live near a LEGO store, you can attend a special release party this coming Saturday October 10, 2009 at all store locations. The festivities start at 2:00pm and will end when they end but I think officially it’s supposed to end at 3:00pm. There will be trivia contests, giveaways, prizes (Chrome Darth Vader anyone?), and members of the 501st in costume to take pictures and help keep the peace.

Keep in mind this is information gleaned from my local store (Glendale, CA) and it is supposed to be happening at all LEGO store locations, according to the person I spoke with. This event is not posted on LEGO’s website either, so please be aware that YMMV; call ahead to confirm.

Update: Duh, I should have just checked the publisher’s web site, as they have an official list of Release Parties happening all around the U.S.

[LEGO STORES]: Free Mini V19 w/ $75 Purchase All Month Long

Thanks to meeotch (and others) for pointing out this gem of news… I mean, who doesn’t like FREE!

I’ll quote him because he said it so well… (legalese… haha)

Offer valid Spet 1 – 30, 2009 or while supplies last only.

Item 8031. $75 minimum Lego Star Wars purchase required for offer. Qualifying amount applies to merchandise only and does not include applicable tax or shipping charges. Limit one coupon per transaction. Coupon must be redeemed at time of purchase. Other legalese.

Good online and in-stores. Different countries may have different qualifications (like in your own currency).

So $75 of LEGO SW and you get a free set? NICE! He says it looks like the same one from the Target Easter offering, so if you missed out… get it now! If you didn’t miss it earlier this year, but you going to buy some SW LEGO this month, get it at the LEGO store and get your free mini set.
